(nOBODY COMMENTED THE SECRET CODE LAST CHAPTER )
Tyler's POV-
It's dark here. Cold and arid. I don't know where I ended up, I just know I got away. Something pulled me away. Like a summoning. I hear the mechanical hum of an engine then lights flood all around me, flicking on one by one. They stop at the edge of the room and I look around. I'm in some empty, overgrown warehouse in who knows where. I go to walk away but get stopped by, you guessed it, yet another demon trap. I feel like screaming and I pwobably would have if the Winchesters hadn't stepped out in front of me at that exact moment.
"Tyler," the tall one greets.
"Sam, Dean," I reply, dryly.
"Why'd you heal, Cas," Sam asks, genuinely perplexed.
"I've told you guys, I used to be an angel too," I quip.
"But you're a demon now," Sam adds.
I shrug.
"Okay, well, we want answers and you're demon enough for our tricks to work on you too," Dean interjects and grabs a canister from a table nearby.
"Salt? Really? I'm not some B grade bottom dweller. I think I can handle salt. Besides, I'm on your side now," I sass.
Dean pulls out a jug of holy water and the demon knife too. I try to calm my heart rate.
"Just tell us what we want to know and we'll leave you alone," Dean explains.
I nod and Dean looks for Sam's approval before placing the water and blade back on the table.
"First, what happened to Erebus, they just disappear? And why is Cas having these psycho hallucinations?"
"I don't know anything about Erebus, that's council. I have their names though. Hallucinations. I had a class in school and we talked about-" I begin but Dean cuts me off waving his hands around.
"School? You have school?"
"Umm..yeah. It's brand new. I was supposed to be in the first graduating class, actually. I would've graduated at the top too. I was studying light, apparently the power ran in my family and I was one of the very few who had light powers. Every angel has a element they can control, some have a few, they all come from whatever element your parents had. Only our parents never knew about their powers until schools started teaching you how to get into touch with it. The schools were to teach us how to access our abilities and use them to heal Earth eventually. Your planet is dying," I explain."Great. All of that is just. Great. Troye? He went to these schools? And, you guys have parents? Parents!?" Dean asks, sitting down and rubbing his temples. Sam listens carefully.
"Yeah. That's where we met, we went to the biggest academy up there. Troye was different. He had every ability and even the crossbreed ones. He was always different, in every way. And yes, some of us have parents. They're trying to domesticate things or something because the last few generations were all labor born. I don't know."
"Light angels, you said those are rare? What does that look like?" Castiel asks, walking into the room from a nearby door."Cas, I told you to stay in the car," Dean whines and Cas glances over him and walks closer to me, urging me to explain.
"Well, usually archangels are the only ones who have it, naturally since birth too. Angels like me have a watered down version from distant bloodlines. Angels who have to come down into Earth regularly are given a secondhand version of light powers, that's only very recently they've been doing that" I explain.
"How did I not know all of this?" Castiel murmurs.
"Well there are whispers that they didn't tell all the millennial angels because they like old order or something and they're afraid they would rebel if they knew the full extent," I suggest.
