Daphne and Mira spent the entire day making up for lost time. While Mira droned on about her experience in the country her father shipped her off to Daphne responses were vague and guarded.

Mira figured that it was because prison in general wasn't a pleasant place but still had a strong suspicion that something else must have happened during her stay there but decided not to probe.

“So you really got sent on a blind date in your own house,” Daphne asked, genuinely amused by the story her friend just told her.

“Yes!” Mira exclaimed and suddenly felt a wave of annoyance as she recalled that fateful day.

“Was he cute,” Daphne asked with an expectant smile.

“Honestly,” Mira started.

“Honestly what,” Daphne asked, her brows raised.

“He was,” Mira finished after a short pause. The room fell into silence for a few seconds before the two girls bursted into an uncontrollable fit of laughter.

“You haven't changed one bit. You were so upset yet you could check him out,” Daphne said, still trying to catch her breath.

“What can I say, two years won't suffice for the kind of change you expect from me, maybe three more years will do the trick and in my defence I didn't have a chance to get to know him because I was so pissed,” Mira said trying to defend herself.

“And your point is”

“My point is that I am not all about looks. I have some depth to me girl,” Mira responded.

“Sure,” Daphne drawled out, obviously not buying her words. The two girls then fell into a comfortable silence.

“Are you going back to work,” Mira asked quietly.

“I don't think I could even if I wanted to,” Daphne said with a far away expression.

“You never really liked it anyways,” Mira said.

“You don't have to say things like this to make me feel better, you know I love acting but there's something I love more than acting. So for the time being I'll go back to my first love,” Daphne responded.

“Are you sure? I'll support you no matter what you choose to do but won't that be much worse than going back to acting,” Mira asked worriedly.

“Mira, a lot of things have changed since the last time we met. If you still think I'm going to let anyone walk over me then you must not understand that I'm on a mission,” Daphne responded darkly.

“What mission,” Mira asked curiously.

“The mission to destroy all who have wronged me. I will do everything in my power to ruin Ethan then I'll break his little female dog,” Daphne replied in a tone filled with venom.

Mira stared at Daphne dumbfounded. This one of the moments were Mira felt like she was talking to a completely different person.

“Still not cussing,” Mira said after recovering from her initial shock.

“Some things never change I guess,” Daphne replied.

At the other side of the door stood Grey with his back straight in a perfect posture with his signature expressionless face.

After a while he walked down the quiet corridor, stopping in front of Arthur's office then knocking.

“Come in”

“Is there anything worth reporting,” Arthur asked looking up from the files on his desk.

“The young mistress’ mood has improved greatly,” Grey reported.

“Good,” Arthur replied.

“ Why are you standing there quietly? If you have anything to add, tell me,” Arthur asked.

“She hinted that she may want to join the family business,” Grey said.

Arthur let out a little laugh while nodding his head in approval.

“Finally answering her call”

“This is great news. Grey bring out my best bottle of wine,” Arthur said dismissing Grey.
