He smiled at me as he helped me up. He was in his swim trunks; that's how I knew how he had abs and how he was so strong looking. He handed me my bag, and we started to walk towards the beach.
"So, where do you live?" He asked.
"L.A. I actually just moved here and bought my on house. How about you?"
"I live in L.A. too. I have an apartment, actually."
"That's nice. It's a smaller space.I've got a lot of space for one person in my house." I said as I tried not to make it sound like an invitation or anything.
"I'd love to have my own house, not apartment." Mark replied.

He insisted I lay my towel down next to his, because he had the "perfect" spot. So I did. And I put my umbrella up over top of both of our towels. We both played down on our towels. I looked away, then looked back only to see him examining my body. I didn't care, because earlier I had examined his.He offered a bottle of water to me; I happily accepted. We both flipped over on our sides, facing each other.

"So, what do you do for a job?" He asked me.
"I'm actually a veterinarian, I love helping animals. I kinda have a big heart for animals. Then I leaned in a little closer and said "Can I tell you a secret that you swear you will not tell anyone else?"
"Sure." He said casually.
"Sometimes when I watch the ASPCA commercials I cry." I said.
He gave me a look that said "That isn't weird at all" which made me happy. I looked over at the water.
"Let's go splash around in the water!" He yelled as if he was an excited 5 year old. I stood up and went over towards the water, then he grabbed my hand and pulled me in.
"You little-"
Too late. I was already being splashed.
"Hey, stop it!". I yelled while laughing. I started to splash back.
After about 10 minutes of swimming, we both went and laid down on our towels. We were out of breath.
"I wish I had a Sparkling Ice right now," he sighed.
"I have some in my car. Brb."
I walked over to my car. When I opened up the trunk I heard "Hello there, pretty little lady."
