"WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE'S GONE?"
I was furious. He just let him leave and I was going to give him a piece of my mind.
"He is your friend and you just let him WALK OUT?"
Sasuke wasn't even trying to stop my yelling because he knew there was no point. I was angry.
"Look Konohamaru, I tried to make him stay. But there was no reasoning with him. He attacked me and left."
I had seen the bruises and blood on Sasuke's face, but I didn't think they were because of Naruto. To me it didn't matter that Naruto attacked Sasuke. He was gone... And I was going to miss him dearly.
"But... But why? Did he say why he was leaving? Was he angry with somebody?" Sasuke looked down while applying bandages to the various scrapes on his face.
"He... He said he was... Tired of being treated poorly... By everyone." The guilt hit me immediately. I hadn't been the one to harass Naruto; I hadn't been the on to call him a failure, or a screw up... But I did little to nothing to stop it. But the guy sitting in front of me had been the ring leader. He had been the one who made everything so much harder for Naruto. He wasn't even nice to Sakura... The girl who loved him more than anyone. My face must have depicted what was going through my head, because Sasuke looked concerned.
"Konohamaru... Are... Are you okay?" I didn't answer, I just looked at him and balled up my fist. I was about to throw a punch when a hand caught my arm.
"Konohamaru, you're turning out to be just as hot-headed as Naruto." I turned and saw the Hokage Ino Yamanaka, smiling at me and lowering my arm. Sasuke stood up and walked out, throwing his bandages on the ground. Ino sat down next to me and sighed delicately.
"He knows he's the problem... you don't have to tell him." I looked down, not able to meet her eyes.
"He's the reason Naruto left, if he hadn't been such a dick Naruto would still be here." She didn't respond. She didn't scold me for swearing. She simply placed her finger on my headband.
"He's still here, as long as he has this on."
