Naruto's Betrayal: "You Thought Sasuke Was Bad?"

Gaara P.O.V.

After Hinata and I left the Hidden Leaf Village, I turned to her and tried my best to seem optimistic... But I'd seen something like this happen before... In myself.

"I'm sure we're going to find him. He... He's just angry... And there's nothing anger can do for him anymore. He's already attacked a high rank shinobi of his own village... To do anything else would be..."

Hinata stopped running for a moment, Her mouth slowly falling open as tears formed. Her hands began to shake, and her knees trembled as she pointed ahead of her to something that was far out of my ocular capability.

"What's wrong? Do you see him?"

She shook her head, and immediately began to sprint in the direction she had pointed. After a few moments of running, I finally noticed what she had been pointing to. Rock Lee. Fastened to a tree with knives... Like some kind of trophy... Or warning. Hinata quickly walked up to him, checking for vitals before slumping down to the ground and sobbing into her hands. I couldn't bare to see what Naruto had done to the man, so I turned and looked up at the sky, crossing my arms, and silently praying that Naruto was still nearby.

"Hinata... We have to call this back... I can do it if..."

Suddenly the sand out of my gourd stopped two kunai aimed directly at the side of my head. Hinata noticed it too, and quickly stood up, activating her Byakugan.

"Over there, in the trees." She whispered.

I nodded, admittedly letting too much anger get the best of me, as I harnessed my chakra.

"SAND COFFIN!"

The sand slowly climbed its way up the trunk of the tree, like a snake after a nest of birds... But I stopped it when I heard a voice call out.

"W-wait it's me! Konohamaru."

The young boy jumped down, running to give Hinata a hug as tears also fell from his eyes.

"What are you doing out here?" Hinata questioned
"It's not safe."

Konohamaru looked at her, a grown painted across his usually chipper countenance.

"I... I want to help... Find Naruto."

The young woman nodded, looking to me for a moment.

"Go call Lady Hokage... He and I can bury Lee..."

I nodded, walking a few feet away and pressing the button on my communicator.

"Lady Hokage... Team 1 reporting. Rock Lee has been found dead... Likely at the hands of Naruto. Not to mention..."

Before I could finish my sentence, a piercing scream came from Hinata's direction. I quickly ran over, seeing Konohamaru and Hinata standing and ready to fight. I looked past them both, and noticed my own jaw drop as I saw who had attacked them. The man was tall, with an almost blue-grey pigmentation to his skin... And was holding a sword larger than I'd ever seen. He smirked at the three of us, and spoke calmly.

"If you're all going after your friend Naruto, you can forget it... He came to our hideout earlier... And sent ME out here to kill you all. Now... Let's get this started."
