No time was wasted upon the apples awakening, he already endured its torture methods once, and he vowed to never let that happen again.

Sailing smoothly through the sheets of his mattress, his body obeyed with overwhelming vigor, dawning on the apple midway that both his mind and body were stable despite past experiences.

His auto pilot had been shut down, taking a moment to recollect himself through the palm of his hands, squeezing the both of them rhythmically. It's been so long since he's felt normal, a sensation so out of touch he's almost forgotten what it meant.

'No stiffness or nightmares this time... guess I'm off to a good start.' That thought would carry along throughout most of his rehearsal, remaining proudly until exiting through the very doors of his establishment.

His motivation would've lasted longer, had he not reminded himself of what awaits on the journey ahead of him. By no means was he worried about his life, sure at worst he'll feel immense excruciating pain like no other, but his death was only temporary. The same can't be said for the others, and it's his responsibility to make sure they don't suffer the same fate he went through.

But until then, he'll have to cling onto a certain hope. The possibility of everyone passing her test was slim, but it's still a chance nonetheless. But despite his reassurance, he knows better than anyone that fate has other plans.

🥽~Edward's Perspective~🥽

Boredom, for the past week he has experienced nothing but boredom ever since Zip had been suspended. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, since he always had Oliver to look up to for any kind of excitement.

... That is, if he didn't have a stick up his ass for almost an entire week. He doesn't know what happened between him and Engel, but whatever that bird boy did, it sure as hell got him good.

He tried asking about it once, having eavesdropped on his classmates and all. But the moment he did, he practically just... shoved him away and ran off to who knows where. I mean, What kind of person does that!?

He had hoped the weekends would bring him some justice, but turns out they weren't any better. Oliver was busy with his girlfriend for the entire weekend, even though he could've sworn he was forbidden from doing so. And he couldn't visit Zip either, since I guess releasing the literal devil unto the entire school warrants being grounded by your own mother... ok maybe it does but it still sucks nonetheless.

"Heyyyy Edward, long time no see buddy." speak of the devil, just the person he didn't want to see. "What's going on my man, life treating ya well?"

Oliver's arm was wrapped around his shoulder, his iconic smirk plastered on his face as he stared down at the scientist. Edward shifted his body away from the hold, his spite growing by the second he was within his grasp.

"Dude, you practically ghosted me the entire weekend and ran off without saying anything. What do you think?" Oliver's arm was pushed to the side, his walking pace dropping along with it, quickly recalling the behavior he displayed against his own friend.

"... Ok you know what, that may have been my fault. I was just in uhhh... shitty mood is all." Recovering his pace and demeanor, he speed walked beside Edward, just far enough to gain a quick glance for his poor excuse. "But cmon, can you really blame me? Alice needed me at the time, you know I can't just ignore that."

His annoyed gaze lingered on for a mere moment, only breaking when that demons name found a place in their conversation. His eyes scanned the empty street just beside them, trying his best to shove away the events of his first visit inside her home.
