The freezing air running across his motionless body had restored his senses bit-by-bit, with the constant ringing chimes in his ears slowly developing into mumbling voices, catching wind of another conversation just to the left of where he laid. His attempts at using his vision were quickly blinded by the shining lights displaying a cool white glow throughout the room, instinctively rubbing his eyes with his right hand while using his left to push himself up from the bed he was placed in.

Unexpectedly a sharp sensation of pain had spread across his mind, like someone had repeatedly bashed his skull in with a sledgehammer while he was fast asleep. Coupled the sounds of fabric being moved along with a soft groan spilled from the apple head, had caused the ongoing conversation beforehand to stop completely. Which was then quickly followed up by the clacking sounds of someone's feet hitting the floor, slowly getting louder as they made their way towards his location and pulled open the blue curtains discarding him of his privacy.

"Good, you're finally awake." Blessing his eyes from blinding light with an overcast shadow, had stood the very principal of his education, Miss Grace. "Perfect timing too, there are several things I would like to discuss with you Abbie. Regarding your... capabilities." That last part had a kick to it. Even if he already knew she was talking about him, her tone was filled with so much vigor, so much understanding that it almost broke the boy free of his headache. Almost.

"Miss Grace I understand you have your priorities, but please give the poor boy some space. He only just woke up after all that has happened, let his mind rest a little." He knew that voice, he recognized it the instant she spoke. It belonged to Miss Sasha, one of if not his favorite teacher in the entire school. She stood far behind where Miss Grace was, having to squint his eyes to be able to see her pleading to the superior for a minute of peace.

"At least let me make sure he's okay. It will only take five minutes, I promise." Miss Grace seemingly filled with curiosity had continued to stare at the leaf headed boy for what felt like hours. Before she eventually gave in to the nurses pleas of worry while turning her back to the bed ridden boy.

"I'll be outside the door when you're finished. Try not to keep me waiting too long." With the sound of the door shutting behind her, Miss Sasha had quickly responded "Yes Miss Grace" before getting into her position for his check up. Of all the teachers here, Grace didn't seem like the type to blatantly disregard the jobs of her co-workers for the sake of what she sought in that moment. It felt like for the first time in a long time she seemed... excited? Fascinated? He couldn't find the right words as his throbbing head pain continued to pulse throughout his body, which wouldn't go unnoticed in the doctor's eyes.

"It's okay Abbie, you've been through a lot in one day, just try to relax and don't push your body too hard. I'll try to ease the head pain, I promise." Miss Sasha had always been there for him, always helped him back up when the world tried to put him down. Her and Demi had always made him feel safe, feel like his troubles were heard when everyone else went deaf. If most people didn't know any better, they would've thought that Abbie was secretly their love child. And sometimes, Abbie had wished it was true.

After doing her quick check up on the apple stemmed boy, Sasha had brought him a paper cup filled with water to refresh his body and soothe down the pain. Although he was starting to feel a little better, his nervousness started to kick in when he realized his unexpected interrogation was just right around the corner. With Miss Grace no less. But what was so important about him that the principal herself would decide to intervene in his recovery?

Desperately looking for answers to ease the situation, Abbie had turned to look at his care taker before constructing the first sentence since his awakening.

"Miss Sasha, when I was waking up I heard you were having a conversation with Miss Grace, but I couldn't hear anything you were saying. If you don't mind me asking, why does Miss Grace feel the need to... question me?" Sasha's worry for the boys health had been slowly replaced with a rising guilt, looking away from the curious apple as she feels at fault for why her superior was acting the way she was. Remembering the events that happened beforehand, she spills her story in front of the boy.
