amelia had flown home, all she needed right now was her mom's comforting words and just for someone to tell her it wasn't her fault. general elsher had known about venin for quite some time and had been wanting to tell amelia about them but he knew she needed to see one for herself. unfortunately, she did see one but also had to see liam dying because of it.

" lia ! " noah and luke were made aware by their father and the rebellion what happened. they both returned home to make sure their sister was okay.

" are you okay? " luke said inspecting his sister, caleb their younger brother wasn't home due to training.

caleb elsher, the youngest sibling but the strongest one. if people thought that luke, noah, and amelia were good fighters then caleb was better than all of them. he had been training and strengthening his skills since amelia left for the quadrant, he did a pretty good job at it.

" i'm fine, just sad " she said, noah being the oldest brother pulled her into a comforting hug and held onto her tightly.

he wouldn't admit it but he was scared, this venin very well could have killed her like it did with liam and soleil. she was the only girl in the family so of course he was worried. " hey, it wasn't your fault. you didn't know about the signet you have " he said.

" lover boy is asking for you, violet is awake " celeste said as noah released amelia from the hug.

" violet is awake, celeste told me " amelia looked to father and two older brothers.

general elsher nodded and smiled. " go to her, i'll research more about your signet and celeste's previous riders. be safe, please. i can't lose my only daughter " he said as her mother came into view.

her mother worried, she worried about all her children becoming riders. amelia smiled at her father and waved goodbye to her family before mounting on celeste. she was told xaden had brought violet to aretia because of the poisonous blade she was stab with.

this entire time, amelia thought aretia was a city full of rumble and nothingness. that's what she was taught by the navarrian government but now she see they had been hiding something so much bigger and dangerous.

" when are you going to tell her about our aunt and ties she had to the rebellion? " noah looked at his father who just shook her head.

" she's already got a lot on her plate, me telling her what aunt katherine did is just going to add more on " general elsher said as noah nodded then looked at luke.

aunt katherine, general elsher's sister had been an aid to fen riorson and had become a prominent figure in the first rebellion. she watched bodhi, xaden, liam, and garrick grow up and even once told amelia's father that she was destined to be one of them. she always hoped her nephews and niece would finish what she started in the rebellion.

she wasn't killed with the parents because she went into hiding for months before being captured and being executed, her dragon was indeed celestial. before that elshers before katherine and amelia had been rider's of celeste, which explains why amelia has a lot of signets. celeste had waited four years to bond with amelia, she knew she was coming and that she was destined to be her last rider.

amelia had arrived where the riorson house was, she wanted to stay away from all of this for as long as possible but knew that wasn't going to happen. she also wanted to make sure that violet was good and was very curious about aretia. since her entire life she believed it was devastated due to the first rebellion.

" vi? " amelia had ran into the house, not really caring about the riders in front trying to stop her from going in.

violet and the others had just come out of the assembly when the best friends had spotted each other. " lia ! " violet said as they hugged each other. amelia for three days had been home with her parents and she was wanting to stay longer than three, in fact she really didn't want to to back to the college without liam.

" where have you been? " xaden crossed his arms, he was scolding her for leaving the group especially with her knowing that venin existed and she could have encountered one.

" at my house, i needed to get away " she looked at him as he just nodded, he understood.

liam was his younger brother, he followed along to what xaden wanted and never asked any questions. " it doesn't matter where you were. just happy you're back " garrick had pulled her into a hug.

bodhi had coughed as garrick let go of the hug. " i would like to hug my girlfriend " he joked as he pulled her into a hug.

" let's leave the two love birds alone, me and you sparing in the gym tonight " imogen pointed to amelia who just nodded in her direction.

amelia was happy about being in his arms again, happy that she got to be loved by him. she was a mess without him for three days. they've always been with each other expect for when bodhi and imogen had rsc training. other than they hadn't been apart from each other.

" let's go, i want to spend some alone time with you " bodhi smiled at her.

she happily nodded and he led her the upstairs, towards the third floor where he was staying for last three days. " i missed you so damn much " he said opening the door and kicking off his black boots.

amelia was taking out all her holstered weapons and placing them on the desk, the room was definitely larger than the ones back in the quadrant and nicer as well. " me too, i wanted to be you but i needed time to stop replaying liam's death "

bodhi nodded and pulled amelia into bed, his arms wrapping around her waist and her laid on his chest.

" i get it, it's hard losing liam. he was great friend and brother figure " bodhi sighed.

everyone was having a hard time with liam's death, especially violet who held onto him as he died. amelia wished she didn't have the gift and wished malek would take her instead and give back liam. she just wished time would go back to before the war games.

time was so much simpler when they were practicing for the gauntlet and training for the challenges. everyone was alive, happy, and they didn't need to worry about signets.

" go to sleep, you have training tonight with imogen " bodhi kissed amelia's head as the elsher girl nodded before closing her eyes and drifting off into a deep sleep.

welcome to the new version of iron throne, now known as iron heart. i feel more confident in this version of the story. now, i won't be doing it like super recently but in the future i was thinking about writing a ridoc x male reader fanfic or dain x marked fem reader fanfic. i know dain has his flaws in fourth wing but he really grew on me. please let me know which fanfic you would like to see or if you have any more suggestions for me please tell.
