amelia was training in the gym with garrick and imogen, violet hadn't told her exactly that brennan was still alive. she knew amelia was heart broken over his " death " and don't know how she would react to him being alive all these years. imogen was sparing with her while garrick watched.

" damn girl " garrick stared as amelia was easily pinning imogen to the ground. really no female or male in the quadrant could pin imogen like it. only a couple, like garrick and xaden, just to name a few could.

the doors of the gym opened, a guard stood there. " imogen, riorson is calling for you " he said then walked out as amelia had let imogen go and garrick watched her walk out before turning his attention to amelia.

" i guess it is just us now, princess " garrick winked at her as she motioned for him to bring it.

garrick threw a punch which amelia blocked and grabbing has wrist, flipping his body to the ground. she straddled his waist and a small smirk appeared on his face. " oh, we're doing this now " garrick winked at amelia who rolled her eyes. he flipped them over now he was the one straddling her.

" oh, shut up " she said playfully before flipping over so now she was the one on top. the gym doors opened without the both of them realizing it. a cough is what made them stop staring and there he was. brennan sorrengail, the man who amelia presumed was dead for 5 years.

" brennan? " she was in awe, disbelief, and in shock that he was alive.

" hey, it's good to see you after all these years " brennan smiled with his arms out, he was expecting a hug from her.

amelia had stopped sparing garrick and went up to brennan, punching him in the gut but immediately hugging him afterwards. " i guess i deserved that " he chuckled through the pain and hugged her back.

" yeah, you did. but i'm so happy that you're here " amelia hugged him tightly.

she had spent months crying over his death and watched violet and mira become heartbroken over him. he deserved that punch but she did mean it when she said she was happy. garrick stood off to the side, smiling at the reunion.

" i'll leave you both alone " garrick said picking up his jacket and weapons that were laying nearby. he walked out as brennan and amelia just smiled at each other.

" walk with me " brennan said as amelia nodded, grabbing her things and brennan opened the door for her. they both walked out with brennan explaining everything to her just like he did with violet when she had woken up earlier.

amelia couldn't believe that he had been pretty much in charge of the rebellion all these years, she wondered what other things the navarrian government was hiding and if her father knew anything about it.

amelia was walking the streets of aretia, brennan had given time off to people so she had decided to spend some time shopping for a present for bodhi. she wanted to do something nice for him since he was always working for the rebellion.

she had stopped at the different street vendors, finally finding a chain for him to wear. it was more so a good luck chain so whenever he was flying or was busy he could always have her close when she wasn't with him.

a man was calling amelia over, he was standing in front of a drink cart which she guessed he was wanting her to try a drink. " a drink for the pretty lady " he smiled, handing her drink of whatever liquid was in the cup.

she sniffed the drink and was about to drink it but it was snatched away from her, garrick snarled at the man. " she doesn't need your drink " he grabbed amelia's wrist and dragged her away from vendor.

" what was that about? " amelia was confused as to what was wrong with the drink and how did he find her because she didn't tell anyone where she was going.

" vendors here can be shifty especially to pretty, young ladies like yourself. he was trying to give you drink that will knock you out. you shouldn't be going out alone especially you are new here " garrick said letting go of her wrist.

amelia nodded and garrick sighed, he didn't mean to be harsh but he hated to see anything happen to her. bodhi and the others were busy, he wasn't so he tasked garrick on being her scary dog privilege while she shopped.

" how did you find me? " amelia looked at him as they started to walk the market again.

garrick chuckled a little, " bodhi has tabs on you all the time and the guards saw you leave. him, brennan, and xaden asked me to watch you for the time being while they were busy. a lot of higher ups in the rebellion want you protected so i'm your guard while you shop "

amelia nodded as she started to look around again, garrick would stand behind with his arms crossed and glaring at anyone who would come near her. everyone, especially men avoided amelia like the plague because of how scary garrick was.

a young man, around amelia's age tried to approach her. he wasn't trying to sell her anything but to get her name. one look from garrick made him run away and the older male chuckled. garrick enjoyed being feared, he thought it was funny.

" i'm done " amelia went to garrick who nodded, grabbing the shopping bags from her hands and the pair made their way back to the house.

she thought it was nice having garrick around, he kept all of the people away and she could shop in peace like she wanted. " thank you for being my scary dog privilege " amelia smiled at garrick as they reached the house after a short walk.

" i'll always be your scary dog privilege, even when you don't want me to be. you are thing i'm scared the most about losing during this rebellion, xaden feels the same way besides violet. you know it's funny because never in a million years would i be scared about losing a female " garrick chuckled.

he was right, he wasn't worried about losing females because he was garrick fucking tavis and he could get as many females as he wanted. but amelia was different, amelia to him and to many of the marked kids was his lifeline person.

everyone was different and had their own, xaden's was all of them especially violet. imogen's was garrick and bodhi. garrick's was amelia. he knew from the moment that she ran into him one the first day that he would follow her anywhere. he knew she would tied to his life, even if he didn't want it.

" i always want you to be " amelia smiled as garrick handed her the bags back. both of them went their separate ways as two riders opened the door for them and they stepped inside the house.

she was so excited to show bodhi what she had bought for and made a dash straight towards their room where she figured he would be working on paper work. " hi, my love " bodhi slightly looked up from the paper work at his desk.

" how did you know it was me? " amelia said as she closed the door.

he chuckled and turned to her full. " i know my girl's footsteps. now, what did you buy? " he smiled at her as amelia pulled out the chain with a small dog tag that had their names engraved in it.

" for when you are busy or flying along trips and you miss me " amelia smiled, showing it to him.

he got up, kissing her forehead and holding onto her hips. " i love it " he said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. he picked her up and gently threw her on the bed, laying on top of her. the paper work was long forgotten because he spent the entire time clinging on to amelia.
