𝐕𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭. Edward quickly got Bella into the medical room while Alice called Carlisle. Emma checked Bella's vitals while Rosalie grabbed all the equipment they would need. Jacob stayed by Bella's side, watching in horror as her body began to tear and break around her.
"The baby's coming. If Bella's got any chance, we've got to deliver him now," Emma stated, trying to remain calm for Bella and everyone else.
Edward nodded and together the family worked together to help Bella. "Rosalie, pass the morphine," he ordered, to which she did.
"Carlisle said the placenta must have detached," Alice informed them over the phone. Bella grunted as Edward then stabbed the shot into her low legs and abdomen. With a much gentler but still speedy hand, Emma helped administer morphine to her upper body through her chest, arms, and shoulders. "He's coming as fast as he can, but..."
But he wasn't going to make it in time. They would have to deliver the baby.
Bella whimpered in pain on the table, having never felt such excruciating pain in her life. It was worse than when James had snapped her leg. Worse than him biting her arm. Worse than Edward sucking the venom out.
The sound of metal sheathing stopped Edward and Emma. They looked over to see Rosalie staring at Bella's belly with an incision blade in her hands, determination on her face. "Rose!" Edward reached out a hand to stop her. "Let the morphine spread!"
"There's no time! He's dying!" Rosalie cried.
At her words, Bella began to scream, "Get him out! Get him out now!"
Emma tried to console her, "Bella-"
"Em, get him out!" Bella pleaded, now sobbing on the table. "Please, he can't die! Please!"
Rosalie looked to Edward then to Emma. When Emma grabbed Bella's hand in hers and nodded, Rosalie went in. Bella's screams were even worse to hear than to watch Rosalie cut her stomach open. They then stopped and her limp body collapsed onto the table, her breath shallowing by the second as the morphine spread.
Rosalie held up the bloody knife with shaking hands, staring at it with hunger. "Rosalie, don't!" Jacob cried, grabbing her wrist and making her drop the blade. The scalpel clattered to the floor as Alice rushed in, holding in her breath.
"Alice, get her out of here," Emma instructed against Bella's cries for the blonde to stay as Alice grabbed her throat and forced her out of the room. Emma knew that her presence meant her child's safety, but they couldn't risk Rosalie attacking her. "Bella, look at me. Listen to my voice. Focus on me. Edward, get him out."
Bella's screams returned as Edward dug his hands into her open stomach to take the baby out. Jacob could only watch in horror from the sidelines, unable to do anything to help her. "Save her!" he shouted desperately. "You've got to change her!"
