Chapter 4: Why The Extra Coffee?

"Come on get up!" Sophie screamed at me.

Last night my dad let Sophie stay the night because the concert is today. Let's just say that Sophie didn't go to sleep until 2am. I only know that because she was fangirling to me. I was dozing off from 12-2 because of her. It really didn't bother me though, I am doing this for her. The thing that bothered me was that we are leaving at 7am because the concert is 7pm and the drive is five hours. We are going to get something to eat before the concert and want to get there early since it is a concert. I know we have a lot of extra time but we wanted to look around that city. And since we didn't have any tourists sites close to us five hours was the closest. And we need to get to the concert early because of our backstage passes.

"Do I really have to get up, it's only 5am," I say and roll back over.

"Yes because we have to get ready and look pretty," she said.

"Fine," I say and get my glasses from my night stand. I wear contacts all the time but in not putting them in this early in the morning. I will put them in before we leave and bring my glasses with just in case.

I looked at Sophie and she had a huge smile on her face. I am scared and happy that she is like this. She pulls me to my desk chair and starts to do my hair. We decided that we are straightening out hair. I have curly hair, not super curly buy still curly enough not to be called wavy, and Soph has wavy hair but you are still able to tell if it is straighten.

When she finished me hair, she put some liquid eye liner on and some light pink lipgloss. I honestly didn't care how she did my makeup as long as I didn't have as much make up on as a clown. She gave me a mirror to look in when she was done. I looked at my reflection and nodded my head it was good. She told me to go get dressed in my mint shorts, black vans, and white shirt. I did as I was told and got doughnuts for us that we're downstairs. I went to my room and gave Sophie her doughnut. By the time I got the doughnuts, Sophie's makeup was done and she was dressed. We each had a pair of dark black sunglasses. This is one of the reasons I was wearing my contacts.

I went to my dads room and got our backstage passes. I then went back to my room and held them out for Sophie to see. She screamed so loud, my dad came in the room with a baseball bat looking tired as ever. I told him it was just Sophie screaming of excitement because she saw the backstage passes. He nodded and went back to his room probably to go back to sleep.

When he left, Sophie hugged me so tight and was still screaming well squealing. I am so glad that she is this happy. I new she was going to be excited just not this excited. After she was done squealing, we got ready to leave.

I grabbed my purse and put my phone, keys, chapstick, and my wallet which had my license and money. I also grabbed my songbook just incase I wanted to write something in it. Sophie was already ready by the time was done. I was just double checking that I had everything. Did I forget something? Probably not because if I did it probably wouldn't be anything important because I would have remembered t if it was.

Sophie and I walked out the door and then walked to my car. We are splitting the driving, one is driving there and one is driving back. Sophie is going to drive on the way there and I'm going to drive on the way back. We decided on this because Sophie is going to be screaming and jumping all night so she is probably going to be the most tired out of both of us. Sophie got into the drivers seat, We stopped and Dunkin' Donuts to get some coffee for the road. I was still tired and I think Soph is too, she's just to excited to show it.

We went into the Dunkin' Donuts because the drive thru looked really crowded. It was actually really crowded for being early in the morning. As we were waiting in line, a boy walked up to us. I wasn't really paying attention though until he tapped on Sophie's shoulder.
