Chapter 13: Two Days Left

I decided not to sing the song for Shawn. I will sing it before he leaves. I promised myself this. I am throwing him a little goodbye party. I invited some of his friends even though they will see him sooner than me. They said they would for me. I don't even know them personally, but they said they would do it. I invited Sophie of course and that's it. I really have anyone I else I wanted to invite. His mom is also coming.

She's actually going to help me stalk him while I get everything set up. I am having the goodbye party today so we can spend time together tomorrow. I know that sounds selfish but he is my boyfriend and everyone else will see him sooner than I will.

I told my dad I was going to the store to get things for the party. My dad was also going to stay for the party, I mean it is his house. He actually took the day off to spend with me so we could set everything up together.

I got into my dads car and drove to Strack's. On my way there, I listened to Jack and Jack. I listened to California a couple of times. I had listened to that song three times by the time I got to the store. I got out of the car and walked to the store.

I grabbed a cart and started my adventure. I pushed my cart through the aisles looking for food and snacks for the party. I was also going to bake a cake. I found bags of chips, pop, and other things.

While I was looking, I felt like someone was staring at me. I looked and just saw a person my age looking at chips. See there was no one looking at me. There is nothing to be afraid of. I went to the next aisle looking at cake mix.

I felt someone looking at me again while I was looking at the cake mix. I turned to see the kid from the other aisle. Was he following me? Maybe he just needs the things I need. Next I went to go get plates and things like that. The boy was in the same aisle again.

"Excuse may I ask why you are following me?" I asked him while he was looking at plates. I didn't see his full face yet.

"Because you are pretty," he said while looking at the plates. I saw his face turn red.

"Thank you but you shouldn't be following me, I thought you were some creep," I said to him.

He then turned and looked at me, my whole world stopped at that moment. I couldn't beige was what I just saw.

"Nathan is that you?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"Yeah. I followed you because I thought you were pretty and looked really familiar," he said with a smile. He had a dimple on each side of his face. I almost died right there.

Get a hold of yourself Skyler, you have a boyfriend.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"I actually moved back into town with my mom," he stated.

"What happened to your father?"

"He left. He walked out in my mom and me two years ago."

"Oh I am so sorry Nathan. I should have been there for you."

"It's not your fault we haven't seen each other since your mom died."

I gave him a hug,"It's not your fault. And I miss you so much. I can't believe it's so long."

"Why are you getting so much junk food?"

"A party. You can come if you are available."

"Sure, can I put my bike in the back of your car though?"

"Sure."

Incase any of you are wondering, Nathan is my childhood friend that I haven't seen since my mom has died. We always use to hang out together because our moms were best friends. He was my first boyfriend when we about six, now thinking about it, it is the cutest thing ever.
