Chapter 10: To Catch A DreamCrusher.

(Katie's POV)
"The game of dreams?" I question
"Yes and I'm going to be the one to play it" Trip states
"Trip no" Wes says
"Think about this" I say
"I have and I'm playing this game... It's the only way to stop him" Trip says
"Trip what happens if he wins this game?" Jen asks
"I die" Trip says and we all stare at him in shock
"And... And if you win?" Wes asks
"Then Earth and Xybria will be restored... The future won't break apart because the past will revert back to before we disappeared and Xybria will gets it's memory of me back or though it will of when I was 7 and younger" Trip explains
"Trip this is to dangerous... You can't!" I say
"I know but I'm doing it" Trip says and he looks up
"Hey! DreamCrusher! I challenge you!" He shouts
"You challenge me? To what?" DreamCrusher asks
"To a game of dreams... If you win you can kill me and if I win you stop this and give Xybria there memories of me back" Trip says in anger
"I've never seen this side of Trip before" I whisper to Lucas
"I know... He's scaring me" Lucas says
"Trip you do realise they won't know who you are at this point in you life" DreamCrusher states
"I know... I'll just be the first missing child of Xybria... But that doesn't matter to me... What matters is that I finish what I started" Trip says
"You have a deal Ranger!" DreamCrusher says and then the crack stops growing and Trip falls to the ground and DreamCrusher disappears
"We need to get in contact with Time Force Now!" Lucas says
"But we don't-" Jen starts but we glare at her
"You must be really heartless Jen... We contact Time Force NOW!" Wes yells
"This is breaking us apart!" I say
"Let's all just calm down ok... We all want answers but we have to wait" Eric says and I nod in agreement
"We need to check the time lines and when Trip returns we'll get answers calmly ok" I say and the others nod

"Time Force come in" I say pressing the button on my morpher
"Time Force here...we're monitoring your situation... The time lines a fluctuating... What is happening?" Logan asks
"Trip is trying to stop DreamCrusher" I say
"Yes... We've noticed that the destructive path has stopped... Let's hope Trip is successful" Logan says
"Logan... Do you know anything of Trips past?" I ask
"We know he's a refugee but I don't know how that's possible" Logan answers
"A refugee..."I repeat
"Yes but anyway stop this or earth will no longer exist" Logan says and then his image disappears
"Yes sir" I say lowering my arm
"I hope Trip wins" Wes says

"Now I'm going to finish this" I say
"Do your worst Ranger" DreamCrusher says
"Oh I will" I say
"Then let this game begin!" He says

And then a huge game board appears
"16 move game... Who ever wins in those 16 wins the game" I say
"Agreed... This will be easy" DreamCrusher says

And the game begins

I just hope I can win

'Why didn't he ever tell me' I think
"Why didn't he at least mention something to me" I say out loud
"Don't worry Wes he'll be ok" Eric says
"I hope so" I say

(3rd Person POV)
"Millennium City is safe for now but for how long?" The mysterious man says
"The Time Shield is holding but the planets power is fading fast... Estimates say that the power will hold for 12 hours" Logan states
"12 hours until the earth dies... The Rangers better win this or they're done!" The mysterious man says
"With respect sir... Weren't you a Ranger?" Logan says
"Yes but when I was a Ranger I took my job seriously" the mysterious man says
"Sir the time lines a fluctuating more" Logan says looking at a computer screen
"What is happening?" The man asks

The Dream Game.
(Trip's POV)
"You think a chess piece will help you?" I question " you don't know my race as well as you think you do them" I finish
"Chess piece? No it's not that simple Ranger... Say hello to the chess piece of destruction!" DreamCrusher says
"Time For Time Force!" I shout into my morpher and then I'm morphed
"Your going to be sorry you ever crossed me!" I shout "Chrono Blaster!" I say into my morpher and it appears in my hands
"Ranger powers won't work against me Trip!" DreamCrusher says
"I know that but this might" I say and I close my eyes imagining my Chrono Blaster being bigger and like a canon
"Say hello to the Chrono Canon!" I say
And then I fire at him and it's a direct hit that sends him flying
"That's impossible" he says
"Nothing's impossible when your in the dream world or did you forget that" I say
"This is far from over!" He says and then he fires rainbow bolt but I imagine a dream shield that deflects his bolts back at himself and I score another hit
"You know you should just give up" I mock him
"And you should learn to shut up" DreamCrusher says and then the ground beneath me falls away and I  plummet

Silver Hills.
(3rd Person POV)
"Please make your way towards the buses... This city is under quarantine" a man from the National Guard says

"You heard the men move it!" A Silver Guardian says

And after about an hour later the last bus leaves the city
"Prepare to detonate this city" the National Guard man says
"By orders of the President of the United States of America Silver Hills is deemed a threat to National security and must be destroyed!" A man from the US Military says
"Get the bomb into position at the city centre! And arm for 50 minutes!" A Silver Guardian says

"Welcome back to L.A Today and we have breaking news from Washington as the President has decided to destroy Silver Hills County as it is a threat to National Security... People are being diverted around the city and all traces of Silver Hills County are being erased... Please stand by for a message..." And then there's static
"PLEASE LISTEN... BY THE TIME YOU FINISH SEEING THIS YOUR MIND WILL HAVE NO MEMORY OF A COUNTY CALLED SILVER HILLS... NOR THE CITY... THANK YOU FOR LISTENING" a voice said and then the static disappeared and like that the entire of the American Continent forgot about Silver Hills and Silver Hills County

But who knows what affect that will have on the future?

"Guys?" I say
"What is it Lucas?" Jen asks
"My Time Force badge" I say
"What about it?" Katie asks
"It's gone and so has my morpher" I state
"So has mine" Wes says
"And mine"Eric says
"No... Please Trip... Please stop DreamCrusher" Jen says
"Why is this happening?" I ask
"Times being altered and I'm guessing the Time Shield isn't holding anymore" Jen states
"If Silver Hills never existed after 2001 then Millennium City won't have been built meaning no Time Force and no us" Katie explains
"Come on Trip" I say

(Trip's POV)
As I awoke I noticed blood... My blood
"How far did I fall?" I think aloud
"Enough to nearly kill you" I hear DreamCrusher say
"Shut up" I spit out as I stand up slowly
"Why bother you've already lost" he says

"No... That's... Where your... Wrong" I breath out still in a lot of pain
"Ohh... How so?" DreamCrusher asks
"Feel the power of the Xybrian Gem!" I shout and my gem glows
"Ow ow ow!... What is this pain!" He shouts
"I'm going to crush your mind" I say
"Nooooo! Stop it!" He screams
"Surrender or I destroy you!" I say
"Never!" He says so I increase the power and I fire my Chrono Canon once more
"You asked for it!" I say
"Nooooo!..." He shouts and I stop my mental attack as he shrinks down to figure size and then the game ends

"Game... Over!" I say and the game shatters around me

(Wes's POV)
As we wait I suddenly hear Trip moan as I look over and I see him sit up so I run over to him,
"Trip your ok" I say hugging him then I notice he's bleeding
"What happened?" I ask
"Remember DreamCrusher said if we die in the dream world we die" Trip says
"Yeah... Wait did you get hurt?" I ask
"Yeah I fell" he says
"I'm getting you cleaned up when we get home... If there's a home we can get back to" I say
"What do you mean?" Trip asks
"Times altering to much... Time Force no longer exists" Katie says
"That means Silver Hills..." Trip trails off
"Is no more" I say
"That's not completely true" Trip says
"What do you mean?" I ask
"There's a portal to our world and if we enter... We'll have defeated DreamCrusher but the world will never know of what happened... We'll return to the night this all started no one but us will remember not even Time Force will remember" Trip explains     
"What about your people?" Eric asks
"Like I said I'll be the first ever missing Xybrian child to them they won't know me past 7 years old only 7 and younger"  Trip explains

"Let's just get going" Trip says and we follow him to freedom
