Silver Lakes...
(Wes's POV)
After kilometres of driving we make it to my surprise probably and hopefully the best one yet
"Trip welcome to Silver Hills Lakes" I say pulling up off the dirt road
"Silver Hills Lakes... Looks familiar" he says
"How so?" I ask
"It looks like the water near Millennium City... This shore line I mean" Trip says and then I notice a tear fall down his cheek
"Trip what's wrong?" I ask
"I feel as though this mission is going to be over soon and then it's back to the year 3000" he says
"Trip we can always call each other" I say
"I know... It's just I want to stay with you Wes" Trip says through tears
"Sweetie please don't cry" I say rapping my arms around Trips waist
"I can't help it... I don't want to go back" he says
"Trip listen to me... We'll always be together no matter how far and what ever time period we're in... I'll always be your boyfriend ok" I say and Trip nods
"Now let's enjoy here and now and not focus on what's to come" I say
"Sure" Trip says wiping away his tears
And we sit down under a nearby tree and look out to the lake
"It's beautiful" Trip says
"Isn't it like this in the future?" I ask
"It's an ocean in the future" Trip says
"How?" I ask
"I wasn't there for it but history says a flood ripped through here" he says
"Flood?" I question
"Yeah... In 2019 the government built a dam near Silver Hills Heights but in 2281 the dam burst and flooded the lower sections and in 2600 Silver Hills was renamed Millennium City" Trip explains
"Am I supposed to know this?" I ask
"What Time Force doesn't know won't hurt them" Trip says
As minutes turned to hours we laid under the tree enjoying the romantic feeling that came from the sunset that began
"I love you Trip" I say
"I love you to Wes" Trip says back
"What time is it?" Trip asks
"6:30" I say
"Should we get back?" He asks
"No... Let's stay out here a bit longer" I say
And we did and as the sun disappeared over the horizon we made our way back to the Clock Tower...
... Time Force might have a mission to stop mutants and they might have sent 4 people to stop them but if it wasn't for those 4 people I wouldn't have found my calling in life and I wouldn't have found the love of my life...
"Happy one month anniversary Trip" I say as we enter the lower city limits
"Happy anniversary Wes... The past few days might have been crazy but they were also the best" Trip says as we ride into the night...
