I speed down the road. Excitement controlling me.

Does he feel the same way?

I cast him a sidelong glance, hoping he doesn't catch me.

Will he make a move?

"Garrick, this is a cliff." He says uncertainly when we reach my "spot".

"Wow. I didn't notice." I reply sarcastically giving him an unamused look.

"How are we going to get up there?" He questions.

You'll see, Robin.

Trusting that he'll know to follow me, I make my way around the huge rock, to a small path that winds steeply upward. As I start to climb, he starts to climb with me. The anticipation of what will happen up here gnaws at me with each step.

When we get to the top, I realize Robin had stopped. He looked astonished, and god-like in the lighting, at the view.

"Beautiful, huh?" I say, feeling bad for spooking him as he gave a bit of a jump at the sound of my voice.

"...Yeah..." He agrees.

Well hurry up, this perfect moment won't last forever.

"It's even better over there." I say, hoping to hurry him along to my spot.

He takes long slow strides to me as I make my way towards the edge of the cliff. I sit on the edge, dangling my legs
over the side, hoping he'll do the same.

Our hands are nearly touching!

I feel him shiver and realize he didn't bring a coat.

"Are you cold?" I ask him.

"Yeah, I was so excited to see the sunset that I rushed out the door with you before grabing a coat." He replies.

"Stupid." I tease, making sure not to sound harsh. I slide off my coat and give it to him.

"But you'll get cold, Garrick." He argues.

"I'm used to it. I have a sweatshirt and a coat; with both on I'm sweating. So shut up and take it." I reply with a smile.

Please make a move soon, Robin. I need your warmth.

As the blinding yellow sphere in the sky sinks below the sillouette of the Colorado mountains, a pool of red, pink, purple, and blue fill the sky.

He should...

I feel his hand move closer to mine.

He probably just repositioned his hand on the cold rock...

He starts to lean on me.

He probably feels sleepy from his flight...

I feel his hand on top of mine.

That's a move for sure.

Relief floods over me, thankful for his warmth and his mutual feelings. I lie my head on his shoulder and intertwine my fingers with his.

I feel him squeeze my hand and kiss my head before placing his on top of mine.

It's about time.
