Chapter Two .

As we were walking to our first class , Matt would have some type of conversation with everyone . " here's our first class . " , he walked in before me , leading me to a seat next to him . I took my schedule back from him and gave it to the teacher . As I was walking back to my seat a tall , brown haired girl , stuck her foot in front of me , forcing me to trip . Laughs filled the entire room as blood filled my face .
Matt looked over at me and jumped up . " WHAT THE HELL MAKENZIE ! " , he screamed , hovering over me . He lifted me up in his arms and ran out of the room . He ran me up to the nurse , lightly placing me on one of the chairs . The nurse quickly came over and cleaned up my face . " your nose isn't broken but it's surely bruised " , she said in a low toned voice . I shook my head and Took the ice pack from her hands . " are you okay ? " Matt questioned . I stared him in the eyes , still embarrassed . " what ? " , he looked confused . " I'm just embarrassed . " I said walking in front of him . " don't worry about them .
" he said catching up to me . " not because of them .. because of you .. " I walked faster . " why ? " he asked walking in front of me . I just shook my head and sighed before walking into the class . Chatters came from just about every mouth . I just stared at the floor until I reached my desk . I grabbed my bag from the face of it and left the class . " Karlie ! " , Matt screamed , running down the hallway , after me . " it's your first day and you're going to let her ruin your perspective on this school ? " he asked , looking into my eyes . " we can just ditch first period . " he smiled .

I followed him to our second period and took a seat next to him in he far back . " I'm Lauren Cole " , A very pretty , polite girl said , moving towards me and taking the open seat next to mine . " I'm Karlie Knight " , I smiled . We chatted throughout class and exchanged numbers .

The rest of the day I was with Matt . At lunch , him and Lauren ditched their friends to hang out with me . " hey , lunch is almost over and we don't have the next class together but Makenzie is in it , can I get your number so if you need anything you can text me ? " Matt smirked . I gave him my number and he gave me his . " see you later . " he winked . The bell rang and Lauren and I walked till she had to leave to her class . " I'll wait for you at the gates after school " , she smiled , walking into her class . I feel like we're going to become really close ... I was the last one to class and there was only one seat left open .. The one next to Makenzie .. Great . This is just great . How much worse can this day get . I pulled my chair out , not looking at her . " ew , I don't want your disease . " she complained , moving her seat . I pulled out my phone texting Matt .

K : I have to sit right next to her . Life is great .

M : Just ignore her if she says anything . She's not worth your time .

" Karlie , there are no phones aloud out in this class , put it away or I will take it . " the teacher said . Makenzie giggled but I listened to Matt and just ignored it .
