Chapter Eight .

* eight months later *

Karlies POV ;

Grayson and I have been amazing . Everyday is a new adventure . Matthew still helps me through everything , it's like him and I have our own special connection . Lauren and him both live with me . And Grayson is here basically everyday . I've gotten really close with all the guys . It's like they're all brothers to me .

Right now we're all getting ready for a huge party Shawn is throwing .

" you ready love ? " Grayson asks , wrapping his arms around me . I smiled before nodding . Matt , Lauren , Grayson and I all headed out , reaching shawns house in about fifteen minutes . We walked inside with my hand placed in graysons . I looked around and saw Shawn sitting in the corner , with a drink . I let go of graysons hand and walked to Shawn . He soon realised I was there and looked up at me . His eyes were all red and his face was stained with tears . I grabbed his hand and pulled him upstairs . The sound of music lightly faded as we approached shawns room . I pulled him inside and shut the door . " what's the matter ? " I asked . " nothing . " he said , lying down on his bed . I sat next to him and began to speak but soon got cut off when Shawn smashed his lips onto mine . I could taste the alcohol on his lips . " Shawn . " I pulled away . He smirked before pulling me back . His hands slowly moved up my sides but I soon pushed them away and stood up . " this mistake that we made stays between us , if Grayson ever found out id be dead meat ... Wait ... This is your fault , why am I blaming myself ? " I slightly yelled . " shh , he doesn't have to know . " he smirked again , walking towards me . He pinned me against the wall and roughly crashed his lips onto mine . I tried to resist but he kept pulling me back in . I pushed on his chest and ran for the door . But as soon as I got there and opened the door , he pushed it closed again . He picked me up and threw me on his bed . He took his shirt off and went in for another kiss . " no Shawn ! " I screamed . He put his finger to my lip , signalling me to shut up . I tried pushing him away but he's so much stronger then me . " Shawn move !! " I yelled , now crying . " don't cry baby girl . " he said , wiping my tears . I pushed his hands to the side and ran to the door again . I hurried up and opened it and ran out . I ran down the steps as I heard shawns footsteps following behind . I got downstairs and searched all over for Grayson . As I approached the backyard , I saw Grayson ... Sitting in a chair with a girl on his lap while they made out . I swear my heart just stopped . Shawn soon rushed behind me and sighed . " look karlie ... " he began . " Grayson paid me fifty dollars to stall you so he could go with her . He knew if you saw my upset , you'd take me somewhere to talk to me . I drank a few drinks and pretended to be drunk when I was kissing you upstairs . It was all an act . " he said all in one breath . I kept quiet before storming out of the house . Tears rushed down my face , nonstop . I reached the end of the street and not realising the slippery curb , I slipped and fell , hitting the back of my head on the curb .

I woke up in an unfamiliar room , the moon barely peeking through the blinds . I rolled over on my side and saw Shawn sound asleep . I smiled to myself before closing my eyes again .

Waking up to the smell of breakfast is something unusual . I crawled out of shawns bed and made my way downstairs . " bacon . My favorite . " I snuck up behind his shirtless body . He jumped but quickly smiled . He made me a plate and brought it to me at the table . " wow this is amazing . Thank you so much Shawn . " I said in amazement . He smiled and took a seat next to me . " Grayson was looking for you last night .. " he quietly spoke before shoving a piece of bacon in his mouth . I played with the food on my plate before beginning to speak . " so what . I don't care anymore . " I lied . " karlie . I know it hurts , but in time it'll get better . " he said , placing his hand on mine . His words were so perfect . Tears began to form in my eyes and I couldn't control them . They began flooding out and there was no way I could stop them . " karlie . " Shawn whispered , pushing his chair back . He stood beside me and pulled out my chair so he was standing directly in front of me . I got up and just hugged him . I never wanted to let go .

" I should probably go . " I whispered , grabbing my stuff . " want a ride ? " he asked . I nodded before walking out to his car . He unlocked it and got in . As we took off down the road , he set his hand on my thigh . I turned my head , looking at him . " thank you so much Shawn . " I said , placing my hand on his . He locked our fingers together and kissed my hand . We pulled into my driveway , moments later . I got out as did he . He walked me to my door before giving me one last hug . I kissed his cheek before walking inside .
