Chapter Five .

* skips to end of the school year *

Matthew , Lauren and I have become super close . Almost everyday before and after school , we were hanging out . Today is the last day of school and there's a huge party tonight . Matt told me to go with him but I've never been to a huge party before , I was nervous . I asked Lauren to come and she decided she would . " karlie you're coming tonight , right ? " this boy , Cameron smirked . " of course . " I smiled . " who's throwing the party ? " I asked him . " his names Jack . I can show you him if you want . " he suggested . I shook my head and followed him through the halls . " Jack , this is karlie . Karlie , this is Jack . " Cameron introduced us . Jack looked at me and smirked before reaching his hand out . I put my hand in his and shook it . " will I see you at my party tonight ? " Jack asked . " I wouldn't miss it . " I smiled . He smirked before being pulled away by a group of friends . " so karlie .. I was wondering if you wanted to be my date tonight . " Cameron spoke . " oh I'm already going with someone . I'm sorry cam . " I stuttered . " it's fine . " he smiled before walking away . " hey . " Matt said coming up behind me and hugging me . I just smiled before turning around . " are you ready to go home ? " he asked . " let me just say bye to a few more people and we can be on our way . " I smiled .

After all my goodbyes , Matt , Lauren and I all went to my house to get ready for the party . By the time we were all ready , it was almost seven . " let's go ? " I asked matt . He shook his head and we headed out . Jacks house was almost twenty minutes away , which wasn't bad .

We parked our car a few houses down and walked to jacks . " ahh ! Hey guys ! " jack approached us . He told us where everything was before greeting the next people that showed up . " I'm going to go out back by the pool . " I said , leaving Lauren and Matt . I walked outside and sat on the pool deck . " hey can I sit with you ? " A deep voice asked from behind me . I looked back and saw a tall , really cute guy , with a red cup in his hand . " sure . " I smiled . He sat down , putting his feet in the water , next to mine . " I'm Grayson . " he smiled . " I'm karlie . " I replied . " that's a really pretty name . " he complimented . " thank you . " I blushed . He was staring at the pool , fidgeting his hands in his lap as I studied his facial features . " Grayson ! " a voice yelled . We both turned around and saw a boy that looked exactly like him . They must be twins . " what's up ? " Grayson asked . " we have to go . " the boy said . " why ? " Grayson questioned . " because I want to . " the boy laughed . Grayson smiled before introducing us . " Ethan this is karlie , karlie this is Ethan , my brother . " he said . I shook Ethan's hand but found myself focusing back on Grayson . " well hey , Im going to leave , do you think I can get your number and we can hang out sometime ? " Grayson asked . We exchanged numbers before he left . " hey karlie . " Cameron said , sitting beside me . I smiled as he handed me a drink . I didn't bother asking what it was , I just drank it down . " oo I want another . " I laughed . Cameron got up and soon came back with another . I thanked him before taking a sip out of it .

I climbed into bed as Matthew was lying beside me and Lauren was in his room . " goodnight karlie . " he smirked . " goodnight dork . " I smiled . Before we knew it , we were both in a deep sleep .

" karlie I think someone messaged you . " Matt yawned . I picked my phone up off my nightstand and read the text .
Grayson : " hey beautiful , how's dinner tonight ? Seven o'clock ? "
Me : " sounds good . See you tonight . (: " . After that I set my phone down and began to fall back asleep . I later woke up and looked at my clock . " 3:56 pm . " it read . Wait , I slept all day ?! I quickly got up and took a shower , brushing my teeth after . I put on a black crop top with a high skirt and black vans . I curled my hair and put light makeup on . By the time I was ready , it was already 6:30 pm . I checked myself in the mirror before spraying one last squirt of perfume . " what's your address again ? " a text from Grayson read . I sent him my address and within ten minutes he was knocking on my door . " Matthew ! " I yelled running downstairs . I saw him in the kitchen and ran to him . " how do I look ? " I asked . " a-a- amazing . " he stuttered . " awe thanks Matt , I'll see you later . " I flashed a quick smile before opening the door . Grayson kissed my check before walking me out to his car . He opened my door , like a gentlemen and shut it after I had seated myself . As he walked to the other side of the car , I saw him stare at me and smile . He opened his door and quickly climbed in . " you look absolutely beautiful . " he said staring in my eyes . " thank you . You look pretty amazing yourself . " I blushed . He smiled his million dollar smile before taking off .
