Links POV
Tomorrow (Y/n) has to go and find a suitor so today is the day I leave Zelda. Hopefully she will undertsand. I mean the only reason why I was with her was because I was in a state of depression and she was there for me.
I decided to not wear green for tomorrow, even Farore agreed with me. So together we both agreed for me to wear something I haven't worn in a while. Blue! She pointed out that it complimented my eyes and nice features.
After I was done getting dressed in my usual green, I went down the ladder to find Navi and Mile talking to one another about today's events.
"Hello Mile." I said as I walked into the kitchen.
"Hello Link! Are you leaving Zelda today?"
''Navi what did you tell him?"
''I told him everything about today... Was I not supposed to?"
"I have no idea Navi." I said in exasperation at how annoying she can be. "Hey Mile? What does (Y/n) have planned for today?"
"Well around noon she told me that she was going to go wash (H/n) in Faron woods."
"I might do that with Epona. Of course after I do some things." I left with an apple in my hand. I took a quick bite and gave the rest to Epona. After she finished I mounted and off we were to Castle town.
Time skip---
I finally arrived to see Zelda walking across Hylia bridge. I dismounted Epona and walked over to her. She didn't notice me at first but soon turned when she headed me clear my throat.
"Why hello my hero."
"Don't call me that."
"But why... I thought you where my Linky."
''Not any more Zelda."
"But I thought you loved me."
"As a friend yes, but nothing more. I was only with you cause of the state I was in and you where the only person there to help me. But now that (Y/n) is back I feel we should go back to being friends."
"Ugh. Thank the goddesses you feel the same way."
"What?" I was super confused by now.
"You see I was only with you because if my father. I met someone from Skyloft a couple days ago named Groose. And let me tell ya. He is nice."
"So... Friends?"
"Friends." We hugged and i left leaving Zelda to her own thoughts.
Wow that was easier than expected. I mounted Epona and headed off towards Faron woods where I saw
(Y/n) cleaning (H/n) in the spring. I trotted over to them and dismounted.
Your POV
Wow Epona is a heavy trotter. I didn't pay attention to Link until I noticed he took off Eponas saddle. He walked over and dropped her reins. Walking away.
I followed him with my eyes and say that he was taking off his tunic. I blushed at a thought that entered my mind. I looked away as I saw him take off his tights.
"Hey princess." He said behind me. I turned to see that he had on a pair of what seemed like baggy pants and a pale shirt.
"What are you wearing?"
"What? I don't want to get my tunic my tunic wet."
"You are so much like a girl." You looked down and noticed that you where still in a tunic and tights with your blue boots. Why did he even change?
"Well then I must be one handsome girl." You gigled at his comment as you continued to wash your horse. Next was Vade. Yay... Another two hours spent doing something you don't want to do.
You finished (H/n) and looked over to see that Link was struggling a but with keeping Epona still. You smirked and walked over to Epona calming her down.
"Thanks." He said as he continued. You pulled out a carrot and fed it to her dropping the reins and picking up your brush. You looked over and noticed that Link has never done this before.
"Here. Let me help you." You held into Links surprisingly soft hand and guided his hand with yours. Slowly you glided the brush in circular motions. "Think of it as if... How can I saw this."
"I'm painting a picture?"
"Exactly. Painting." You relused what he was smiling about and took your hand away quickly. Walking over to a rock you placed you middle finger and thumb in the sides of your mouth as you wolf whistled for Vade. He came moments after.
"You called me?"
"Yes. Bath time." He flew over to the water and allowed you to scrub his feathers. "So I heard Zelda met Groose." You didn't know what to talk about so brought up a random topic.
"Yeah. I guess you could say we both fell for someone else."
"What do you mean?" He finished with Epona and she ran to the grass rolling and neighing.
"She fell for Groose and I fell for a goddess." His arms snaked around your waist causing you to jump and gasp a bit. He snickered into your neck making shivers go down your spine. "Did I scare you?"
"A-a little bit." He grinned into your neck as you finished with Vade.
"Times are changing. And my change starts with you. Where does yours start?" He kissed your neck lightly.
"I-i h-have to go." You got out of his grip and jumped onto (H/n) and headed towards the castle.
Links POV
"So close." He hung his head. His blonde hair covering her eyes.
"You are trying to hard." He looked up to find Vade still washing out the soap suds.
"What do you mean?" I looked at the rather small loftwing.
"Pressure is a major thing for her right now. What you said about time changing is true though. Just let her come to you, that or you can Farore bring you to meeting."
"What would you do?" This is so weird I am asking a danm Bird for advice.
"Just let Farore take you. That is the most wise decision."
"Thanks. Vade right?"
"Yes that is my name. And don't wear it out."
"Kinda hard to." I left the spring and re tacked Epona.
''See you at the castle young hero." Vade flew off water falling off of his wings.
"Time to prepare for an escort tomorrow Epona." With that we left the spring and went home for some sleep.
