If someone had told Mi-hee three years ago that she’d end up here, curled up on her couch with Rian lazily resting his head on her lap, she would’ve laughed in their face.
Yet, here she was.
“What are you doing?” she asked, looking down at him.
Rian, who had been scrolling through his phone, gave her a dramatic sigh. “I’m reading the comments on your latest vlog.”
Mi-hee narrowed her eyes. “Why?”
“Because,” Rian muttered, turning his phone screen to her, “your fans are unhinged.”
She took his phone and read one of the comments:
‘Who is this mystery man we keep seeing glimpses of?! Hands. Veins. Deep voice. I need answers, Mi-hee!!!’
Mi-hee snorted. “Well, they’re not wrong. You do have nice hands.”
Rian smirked, taking her hand in his and pressing a kiss to her knuckles. “I could show them more than just my hands, you know.”
Mi-hee flicked his forehead. “Behave.”
Rian groaned, rubbing his forehead dramatically. “Why won’t you let me be soft for you?”
Mi-hee grinned. “Oh, you can be soft. Just not in front of my subscribers.”
Rian scowled. “I still don’t get why you won’t introduce me properly.”
Mi-hee shrugged. “Because I like watching you suffer.”
Rian gasped. “Evil.”
“Adorable,” she corrected, leaning down to press a quick kiss on his lips.
Rian immediately grabbed her waist, pulling her onto his lap. “Nope, you don’t get to do that and run.”
Mi-hee squeaked, her arms automatically wrapping around his shoulders. “Rian!”
He smirked, holding her in place. “Say it.”
“Say what?”
“That I’m your boyfriend.”
Mi-hee rolled her eyes. “Ugh, fine. You’re my—”
Suddenly, the front door swung open.
“HEY—OH MY GOD, PUT HER DOWN.”
Jae-i’s voice echoed through the apartment as she walked in and immediately threw a cushion at Rian’s head.
Rian, unfazed, dodged it smoothly. “Ever heard of knocking?”
“I live here, dumbass.”
Kang-ha appeared behind her, looking mildly amused. “At this point, I think we need a warning sign outside the door. ‘Caution: Annoyingly in-love couple inside.’”
Mi-hee groaned, hiding her face in Rian’s chest. “Can’t we get a moment of peace?”
“Not when you two act like a teenage drama,” Jae-i deadpanned.
Hera entered next, holding shopping bags. “Ooh, what’s happening?”
“Just Rian being insufferable,” Kang-ha muttered.
Hera smirked. “As usual.”
Rian scoffed. “I am literally the most romantic boyfriend ever.”
Min-jun, who had just arrived, took one look at the scene and sighed. “I regret coming here.”
Mi-hee laughed, pulling away from Rian, much to his dismay. “Alright, alright. Since you’re all here, who wants to order food?”
Jae-i clapped her hands. “Finally, a good idea.”
They all settled in the living room, chatting, teasing, and sharing stories.
And as Rian pulled Mi-hee closer, pressing a lingering kiss to her temple, she realized—
This was her happiness.
Her chaotic, loud, and ridiculous family.
And she wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
