A FROSTY RETRIBUTION

Mephiles appears, targeting Silver, but Sonic and Shadow takes him on, while Knuckles who carried Silver with Rouge, they lead the rest of their team away from the danger.

Mephiles gained the upper hand midway, he cornered Shadow and Sonic until Zero intervenes. Both are thankful but don't want to admit it. The two go after Mephiles again, while Zero reported back to the rest of their team.

Rouge being the 'responsible' eldest, she and Knuckles lead the group away from Mephiles.

As they journeyed through the snowy terrain, Knuckles walked at the back of group his eyes scanning the horizon for any signs of danger.

"Everybody doing okay?" Rouge asked, talking through her face mask.

Zero materializes beside Gadget, the Phantom Ruby pulsing softly.

"How are they holding up?"

"Almost cornered." He frowned. "So we should be quick, it ain't safe staying in one place."

Knuckles nodded.

"Alright, let's keep moving." Rouge said, her voice firm.

The group trudged through the snow, their footsteps quiet in the stillness. Zero walked beside Gadget, the Phantom Ruby still pulsing softly in his chest.

As they walked, Miles turned to Knuckles who was behind him. "Knux..? Do you think they would be okay?"

"They will be, Sonic is called the Hero of Mobius and Shadow the Ultimate Life Form for a reason." He smiled and pat Miles' head.

Silver, who had been walking ahead beside Rouge, suddenly stopped, his ears perking up. "Wait." He said, his voice low. "Do you hear that?"

The group fell silent, listening. And then, faintly, they heard the sound of footsteps, echoing through the snowy terrain.

They all gulped.

Zero huffed as he took the lead and walked forward, ready to take on whatever the hell is walking towards them.

"Woah-!" A sword stopped nearly slicing Zero's chin before he comes face to face with a red-eyed Black-furred Wolf.

"Simeon? Dear? What is it?" A deep voice rang through nearby.

"Simeon?" Gadget spoke and the said Mobian sees him and put down his sword.

"It's them." Simeon simply said as he fixed his scarf.

"You found them!" McTara smiles when he came into view.

Everybody let out a sigh of relief.

"Where is everybody else?" Rouge asked when she sees it was only McTara and Simeon.

"We all separated by groups." McTara explained.

"Only the two of you?" Silver asked.

"No, Ricardo and Arien are with us." McTara smiled. "You can come out now you two!" He yelled, as two heads popped out of the snowy terrain. The two got out of the snow and shook off the snow from their bodies.

"Hi Tails!" Ricardo waved enthusiastically as he ran towards them his tail swishing side to side excitedly with Arien following behind on his snowboard.
