The next few days were hectic.

She woke each morning with the weight of her decision pressing against her chest, but it was easier to bear when she was with them.

She would really miss Eunbi and aunty as they had become her family.
Yes, they were her own.

She didn't want to leave them.

The three of them spent their days in a rhythm that felt both familiar and precious. Eunha found herself drawn into the simple routines: helping Aunty prepare meals, sharing quiet cups of tea in the fading afternoon light, and walking through the garden with Eunbi as they talked about everything and nothing at all.

Yet beneath the warmth of those days, Eunha knew the truth still lingered, unspoken. Every smile she shared with them felt like a promise she couldn't keep. She wanted to stay—wanted to believe she could find a place here—but the truth of who she was would always pull her away.

On the third evening, Eunbi found her sitting outside on the bench, watching the sun set. She settled beside Eunha without a word, the silence between them filled with unspoken questions.

"You know," Eunbi said softly after a while, "I've always felt like you were carrying something heavy. Like there was a part of you you didn't want us to see."

"I never wanted to lie to you," Eunha murmured, her fingers curling into the fabric of her skirt. "I was just... scared. Scared that if you knew the truth, it would change everything."

Eunbi tilted her head

"Maybe it would change some things," she admitted. "But not the way we care about you. Not the way we see you."

For a long time, Eunha didn't say anything. She looked at the sunset and wanted to feel as if she belonged here.

"What if I'm not the person you think I am?" she asked quietly. "What if I don't even belong in this world?"

Eunbi held Eunhas hand.

"It doesn't matter where you come from," she said.
"What matters is who you are when you're here. And to me—to us—you matter, Eunha. Nothing will change that."

Tears burned at the edges of Eunha's vision, and she squeezed Eunbi's hand in return. For so long, she had carried the fear that the truth would destroy everything. But sitting there, with the fading light casting a warm glow around them, she began to wonder if she had been wrong.

"Thank you," she whispered, her voice trembling with the weight of everything she couldn't yet say.

Eunbi leaned her head against Eunha's shoulder, her touch a quiet reassurance.

"Whenever you're ready," she said softly, "I'll be here."

That night, as Eunha lay in bed, she thought about the words she had promised herself she would say.

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow, she would tell them everything. No more secrets. No more running.

And maybe, just maybe, they would still want her to stay.

As she drifted into uneasy sleep, the warmth of the day faded, replaced by the chill of something unknown.

In the dream, she stood in a place shrouded in mist.
A shadow emerged from the fog—a tall figure cloaked in a dark hood. His face was hidden, but when he spoke, his voice was low and commanding.

"It's almost time," he said, his words cutting through the silence.

"You have to do what you came here for. You cannot forget why you were sent."

Eunha felt her heart pound in her chest. "I don't understand," she tried to say, but the words barely left her lips.

The hooded man took a step closer, his presence heavy with an authority she couldn't deny.

"You cannot stay forever," he warned. "Remember your purpose. When the time comes, you must choose."

Before she could speak again, the mist swirled around her, pulling her back into the waking world.

Eunha jolted upright in bed, her breath coming fast and shallow. The dream lingered, the hooded man's words echoing in her mind. You must choose.

She pressed a hand against her racing heart, the weight of the dream settling over her like a shadow. Tomorrow, she would tell them everything. But the question remained: When the time came, would she have the strength to make the choice she feared most?
