The sudden knock on the door made my hand hesitate, the pen hovering above the page as my grip on it instinctively tightened. I slowly lifted my gaze from the mini notebook, my eyes rising to meet the unexpected visitor. Randhir stood in the doorway, a nervous smile spreading across his face as our eyes locked. I closed the notebook and settled it inside the table's drawer.

"Why are you still here?" I asked placing the pen in the pen stand.

"I wanted to discuss something with you about my divorce." He answered, his expressions tight as he sat on the edge of the table.

"When is the hearing?" I asked.

"Next week."

"Fine. Say what you wanted to discuss." I said and waited for him to start.

After a few minutes we dived in discussing the best lawyers and evidences to win the case and counter her allegations that our family pressurized her all these years.  In between the tracking app popped a notification,

"Vehicle in motion: Vidya's car has started and is currently moving away from her location."

At this hour where is she heading to? My mind raced with several thoughts but Randhir's voice cut through it.

"Bhai are you listening?"

"Yes! Yes!" I said abruptly and added, "Don't worry you'll be free." I assured him to which he nodded.

"By the way, what were you writing in that mini diary?" He asked curiously.

"I was writing about my precious asset." I replied hesitantly.

"Precious Asset? Konsa asset?" He asked, his brows scrunched.

"You won't understand. Just go home it's already 8 PM." I answered.

"Aap nahi jayenge? Or bhabhi sa kab aayengi wapas?"
(You won't go? And when will my sister in law come back?)

"Nahi hume kaam hai. Unka hume nahi pata kuch. Tum jao." I said curtly, rolling my sleeves.
(I have work to do. I don't know anything about her. You go.)
