-- Luke's Pov --
My mom made spaghetti and meatballs which made me happy. I couldn't be anymore happy! Even her singing didn't bother me or when she called me Lukey.
"So," my mom began as we started eating, "That's an awfully big fight happening next door."
Michael and I looked at each other.
"Do you mean my house?" He asked her putting down his fork.
"Yes," she said cutting her meatball, "I heard doors slamming and glass being broken."
I looked at Michael worried of what he was thinking. He looked like he didn't even want to go home.
"Hey mom," I started, "Can Michael sleep over?"
He looked up at me and smiled. I put my hand under the table and squeezed his leg.
"Absolutely!" She said smiling, "It's a joy to have you Mikey!"
"Mikey," I repeated smirking at him.
He laughed, "Thank you so much! It's like you read my mind, Lukey."
We all laughed and everything felt good. Nothing can happen to make my heart stop loving him.
"Thank you for dinner," he said after we finished up, "Do you need help with the dishes?"
"No! You boys go and hang out," she smiled, "We have a dishwasher for a reason."
We both laughed and went up into my room.
"Do you need clothes?" I asked him.
He smiled and nodded his head. As I went over to get clothes for us I felt him pull me backwards. I fell not understanding what was happening.
"Michael?" I asked when I landed on something soft.
"Sh," he said. I felt his arms wrap around me along with his legs. We were in the same position as we were when Michael was getting yelled at but switched. I was sat with my legs out and Michael sat behind me hugging me.
"You couldn't just hug me?" I laughed, "You had to pull me to the ground?"
Michael didn't answer. He just cuddled him and rested his head on my shoulder. We sat in silence and it was killing me because I couldn't see nor hug him.
"Michael," I said shifting around, "I want to see you and hug you."
I turned around as he released his grip. Looking into his eyes I saw so much love. I wanted to say how much I love him, how much I need him in my life.
"Luke," he said looking into my eyes. I was waiting for him to say something else but he didn't. He just looked at me.
"What?" I asked moving closer.
"I'm sorry for-" was all he said before I put my hand over his mouth.
"Nope," I said as I fixed our position. I pulled him into my lap so we were face to face. He wrapped his legs around my waist and he pulled me into a hug.
I love him.
We sat there hugging and my world was him. I was hugging my world, my everything.
"Luke," he whispered, "Do you want to know a secret?"
I said yes and squeezed him to let him know I care.
"I love you," he whispered, "I love you with all of my heart. Nothing, and I mean nothing can make me feel any different about you. I love you so much and I can't believe this is reality. You're my everything."
Tears stung my face. Happy tears.
"I love you so much, Michael," I whispered hugging him tighter.
The tears slowly made their way down my face.
"I don't want this moment to end," he said, "I want to hold you in my arms forever."
I smiled, "I love you so much Michael," I started to cry.
Then there was knock at the door. We didn't stop hugging.
"Come in," I said to whomever was behind the door.
"I'm so sorry! Did I interrupt something?" my mom asked.
"Nope," Michael said, "We are just hugging."
"You have a visitor," she said signaling for this someone to come in.
"Hey Mike," I heard Michael's fathers voice say.
We both looked up and saw him.
"Hey, dad," Michael said letting go of his grip on me. We stopped hugging but did not move out legs.
"I just wanted you to know that you shouldn't listen to Lillian," he said walking over to us, "love is love and I'm happy you two are happy. Right Lynda?"
"How do you know my moms name?" I asked.
"We were best friends in high school and then he moved away for training and we lost contact," she said walking over to us, "but listen to him. You guys are the best thing that happened to each other. Your smile is back Luke."
I smiled and looked at Michael who was already looking at me.
"I love him," I said looking at him, "He gave me a reason to smile again."
Michael smiled and hugged me. He didn't let for about a minute.
"Well," his father said, "I have to go back to work. I'll see you at Christmas, Michael. I promise I will write to you everyday."
When Michael broke the hug he looked up at his father.
"Thank you dad," Michael said motioning for him to hug him. His father went down on one knee and hugged us both.
"I love you guys," he squeezing us, "You're like my son, Luke," he said turning his attention to me, "and you, Lynda said you can stay here as long as you like. Lillian is having her sisters move in so they can help with the rent. I'll see you guys later."
He walked out of the room and I looked at Michael. He was smiling at the doorway then he looked down at his hands. I smiled and put my hand on his cheek, rubbing it with my thumb. He looked up at me and we just looked at each other.
"I'll leave you guys alone," my mom said ruining the moment a little bit but not enough because Michael leaned in. We both closed our eyes and our lips met. His lips fit perfectly in mine and our lips moved in harmony. The kiss was pure love. Well, kisses.
I love him.
We ended up on the bed and it didn't get heated. It was just love. When we broke the kiss we were both panting.
"I love you, Luke," he said as I turned my back towards him so we can cuddle
"I love you so much," I said as he pulled my hips into his. He hugged me and I kept rubbing my head against his neck.
We fell asleep and it was the best way to go to sleep, right beside the one you love.
