Declaimer: As usual, I only own the plot and characters of the story. I dont own anything big

“Brian… where are we?” I asked looking around the city as he was driving. It wasn’t the nicest city I’ve been in. There were a lot of apartment buildings that didn’t look too attractive.  I looked towards Brian, but he kept his eyes on the road with a smirk playing across his lips as we stopped at a red light.

“I don’t know.” Was that sarcasm I heard?

“Where are we going?” I asked a different question, but still looking suspiciously at him.

“I don’t know,” He repeated again.

“Are we lost?”

“You just love to ask a lot of questions don’t you?” He looked at me as we stopped at red light. He looked into my eyes, which made the butterflies in my stomach flutter crazily.

“I just want to know where we are. It’s really not a difficult question to answer.” I answered smugly with a smirk matching his.

“Well what if I wanted to surprise you?”

Is he flirting with me? I zoned out for a little bit thinking if he’s actually flirting with me, but decided to go with it.

“So you do know where we’re going?”

“I never said that.” The light turned green and we started moving again

I turned towards the window as a muttered “bitch” under my breath.

Twenty minutes later we pulled up to an apartment that was in pretty bad shape. One of the windows was boarded up, the brown paint was chipping, the screen door was hanging on to its life, and the concrete stairs was stained badly.

Brian got out of the car, leaving me in there filled with confusion. A couple seconds later, I followed his actions.

“Brian where are we?” I asked once again as we climbed the steps. He sighed, but didn’t answer me. I was now starting to feel like I was annoying him, so from that point I kept my mouth shut.

He banged on the door a couple times with full force.

“I’m coming,” the voice was barely heard through the door. Brian started to get impatient and decided to bang on the door again.

“I said I’m coming!” The voice was louder than before and the footsteps were getting closer. The door knob was turning and a man that looked to be in his mid twenties appeared. He looked familiar with his blue piercing eyes, but I didn’t remember where I seen them.

“Brian… wow I haven’t seen you in a long time.” The mystery man grinned and came towards Brain and hugged him.

“It’s good to see you again Chris,” Brian hugged back, leaving me there watching the embrace.

“Come in, we seriously need to catch up.” As Chris ushered us in, I looked around the apartment. It wasn’t better than it looked from the outside. There was garbage everywhere, and clothes thrown aimlessly on the ground.

Chris walked over to the couch, which was covered with clothes and papers, and cleared it. Brian walked to the couch and sat at the end, leaving me to follow behind and sit next to him. Chris sat next to me on the other end.

“So who is she?” Chris asked after a moment of silence. Chris' electric blue eyes bored into mine once again leaving me a little uncomfortable. After a while I looked a way and focused my gaze on Brian.
