As we step into the room, my heart pounds against my ribs. Arjun's presence is comforting, yet the weight of the truth I carry makes it unbearable. I can't keep it in any longer. If I don't say it now, I never will.

I reach for his hand, gripping it tighter than I intend to. He looks down at me, eyes calm yet questioning.

"I need to tell you something," I whisper, my voice barely steady.

He tilts his head slightly, his dark gaze scanning my face. Then, with a small nod, he gestures for me to continue.

I swallow hard. My throat feels dry, my mind screaming at me to stop. What if he leaves? What if he looks at me differently after this?

I take a deep breath, forcing myself to meet his eyes.

"Arjun..." My voice wavers, but I push forward. "I-I've been keeping something from you. And I know I should have told you sooner, but I was scared."

His brows furrow, his grip on my hand tightening. "Navya, what is it?"

I exhale sharply. There's no turning back now.

"I just... I need you to know that no matter what happens, I never meant to hurt you." My heart clenches. "But if I tell you the truth... will you still stay?"

Silence.

His fingers curl around mine, firm yet gentle. His voice is steady when he speaks.

"Tell me, Navya."

I close my eyes for a second, gathering every ounce of courage left in me.

And then, I finally say it.

The silence between us is deafening. My heart pounds so loudly that I can hear it in my ears. Arjun stands in front of me, his gaze steady, his face unreadable. I take a deep breath, knowing that once I say this, there's no going back.

"I signed pre-divorce papers before our wedding," I confess, my voice barely above a whisper. "I planned to divorce you after six months."

I watch him, waiting for his reaction-for the anger, the betrayal, the accusations. I expect him to pull away, to demand why I did this, to tell me I've destroyed everything.

But he doesn't.

Instead, he exhales slowly and looks at me with unsettling calmness.

"I know," he says.

His words hit me like a slap. I blink, my breath hitching. "You... you know?"

He nods, his expression unreadable. "I found out after the wedding. My lawyer told me in my office."

My fingers curl into fists at my sides. Shame and guilt crawl up my spine. "Then why didn't you say anything?" My voice wavers.

His lips press into a thin line. "Because I wanted to see if you'd change your mind."
