Tomorrow is my birthday and Luke and I havent been talking much. Not just him though, none of the guys have been talking to me. I am always hearing about Morgan and Calum, and Misha and Ashton. But nothing about Luke. When i bring him up, everyone stays quiet and changes the subject. I act like i dont notice or care, but i swear deep down inside its killing me. At first, it was like Luke never left. we facetimed and texted all the time. but over time, he changed and so did us talking.
I was woken up by Liz knocking on my door, asking if i wanted to go shopping with her. It is currently summer vacation and i have been staying in my room. i yelled back a 'sure' and began to get ready. I could never thank Liz enough for taking me in when all of the stuff before had happened. She knows that luke being gone has really effected me, but she does anything she possibly can to get my mind off of it, which i am grateful for.
When i got changed, i didnt bother putting on makeup or doing my hair. my outfit was simple, yet cute. i decided on wearing a lightweight white tshirt with maroon shorts and black sandals. i put on some deodorant and sprayed myself with my favorite perfume from Bath and Body Works.
"ill drive." i told her, walking out to my car that she got me as an early birthday present about a month ago. She nodded and followed me out. I turned on the radio, and of coure 5 seconds of summers new song "Shes Kinda Hot" came on, and i instantly changed it, not wanting to hear any of their voices.
"you cant avoid it forever." Liz spoke, and she sounded nervous, like she didnt know what my response would be. I will admit, i have not been acting the same but can you really blame me?
We pulled up to the big mall that Luke took me to when i first arrived in Australia. The first store i went to was Hot Topic. Luke has me obsessed with Sleeping with Sirens. but of course, when i walked in there was a whole stand of 5 Seconds of Summer stuff. i quickly turned around and walked away. Liz does have a point, i cant avoid it forever but i can for now. When i was walking away 3 girls came up to me, and started to freak out.
"oh my god you are Luke Hemmings girlfriend!" they all said at one point, and i nodded and smiled. obviously it was fake. I took photos with them and followed them on twitter. This happens quite often now, ever since luke told everyone i was his girlfriend girls would always notice me and either fangirl or hate on me, either way it was all the time.
As Liz and i were walking around Forever 21, my phone buzzed and i looked it. Luke tweeted.
"ahhhhh im bored. how are you guys :-)"
I favorited the tweet, and began to look through a stand of shirts. After awhile, Liz and I decided to eat at Olive Garden and then head home. When we got to the house, a car was in the driveway that i recognized.
"ben and jack are here." i told Liz, and we walked to the front door. I pulled out my key and unlocked it, walking inside.
"Surprise!" a bunch of people yelled. i gasped and looked around, and saw Ashton, Michael, Calum and Luke standing to my left.
"are you happy to see me sammy?!" Luke exclaimed, and i didnt know how to feel or react. All my emotions were everywhere. i wanted to scream at him, cry, and run into his arms. I looked over at liz and she mouthed a 'sorry.' I felt a tear run down my face, and i walked over to Ben and Jack, talking with them. I ignored Luke, obviously. all the girls were here, but i ignored them too.
