When I think of death, for some reason, my mind goes to me on my death bed at 90 years old or something.

I can tell you it doesn't think of being eaten by someone I have fallen hopelessly in love with and someone who I have grown to care for as if he were my own little brother.

Yes, I didn't stutter. I have fallen in love with Zach Mitchell who is totally out of my league. A girl can dream can't she?

But now it doesn't really matter, as we are about to die. Or, so I thought.

The dinosaur's claw crashed inside the ball, coming deadly close to my chest and I screamed.

I closed my eyes so tight I saw spots as the ball was slammed repeatedly into the ground.

I opened my eyes to see it biting the ball, but no prevail.

It picked us up in it's jaws once again and slammed down, breaking the glass behind us.

An idea popped into my head, and I took no time to put it into play.

I unbuckled Gray and Zach's seatbelts, them falling out. Better me, then them

"Hadley!" They both screamed.

"Just go! I'll be fine!" I scream at them. They take off, and I unbuckle my seatbelt and fall out, chasing after them. I look down to see my chest bleeding, and the pain hit me.

I groaned, and kept running, the footsteps getting closer and the roar getting louder.

My heart was pumping in my ears as I caught up to them stopped at the edge of the waterfall. My eyes widened.

"We have to jump!" Zach says. I shake my head.

"I can't swim!" I say, and Zach takes my hand.

The monster bursts through the trees, and my grip on Zach becomes even tighter.

"On three," He says. I was shaking so badly, but it's time to put a brave face on and take it like a woman.

"One," He counts down.

"Two," I can do this.

"Three!" Zach says and jumps, the beast just misses us with it's teeth.

As soon as we hit the water, my grip from Zach was lost and I started freaking out.

I started to sink, flailing my arms and legs. I soon felt a grip around my waist and I see Zach.

I let out a mental sigh of relief, and I realize why we are staying underwater was to wait for the Dinosaur to wander off. I heard a roar, and it stomp off, so Zach proceeded to swim to the surface.

We got to the surface and I took a huge breath of air.

I saw Gray's head pop up, and it hit me we were safe. For now. I look over to see Zach still holding me with ease, and my arms around his neck.

I blushed at the position we were in, as I never have hugged a guy my age before, let alone this.

He began swimming towards shore with Gray, and we finally got to muddy shore. Zach let go of me as I crawled in between the two boys.

I started to laugh, and the boys did as well.

"Who would've thought, huh?" I asked, looking at the two boys. They smile at me. I pull them both into a hug, and we just sit there for a minute.

"We better get going," I say, standing up and pulling Gray up with me. I hold a hand out to Zach, and he takes it, making me stumble a little into his chest.

"Sorry," I mutter, regaining my posture. He smiles down at me. I blush and turn towards Gray and start walking. This is gonna be a long day.

We have been walking for about ten minutes, until Gray spoke up. "Hadley, your chest," He points out, walking in front of me.

I look down to see the scratch the dinosaur had caused. I crinkle my nose and shrug.

"I'm fine, we better keep moving," I say, side-stepping and walking around Gray.

I felt a hand grab my arm and turn me around.

"You are not fine, and we can take a break," Zach says in concern, looking at my scratch. I look at him for a minute, then I roll my eyes.

"Ooh, does Ms. Stills have a sassy side?" Zach jokes. I glare at him and walk past him, sitting on a log.

I remove my blazer and apply pressure to my wound, wincing.

I hear footsteps approach me, and I look to see Zach. I look back down at my cut, the bleeding had barely let up.

I press my blazer against it again, wincing.

"Here, let me help," He says, taking my place holding the cloth to my cut.

"Thanks," I say, pushing a piece of hair behind my ear. I felt his eyes burning a hole in my head, but I focused on my shoes.

"Why do you always do that?" Zach asks softly, tilting my chin so I'm looking at him. I furrow my eyebrows, a slight tint of red brushing my cheeks once again for the hundredth time today.

"Do what?" I ask, cocking an eyebrow. His chocolate eyes scanned my emerald ones.

"You always look at your shoes, why?" He asked, not breaking eye contact.

"I-I'm not sure, I don't always talk or hang out with people so when people actually try to talk to me or do anything that's what I do I guess," I mumbled, my eyes looking at Gray who was examining rocks.

I look back at Zach, who was staring at me disbelief.

"I want to thank you, by the way," I change the subject, taking my blazer off my cut.

"For what?" He asks, looking at the cut to see it had stopped bleeding.

"I wouldn't of made it back there at the waterfall, I can't swim so I would've drowned," I explain, dropping my blazer on the ground and standing up.

He stands up too, his face a hint of red.

"Oh, it was no problem really," Zach says, looking at the ground while scratching the back of his head.

We could die any minute, so I decided to take a chance.

I walked forward and got on my tiptoes, and planted a kiss on his cheek.

His eyes widened and his face turned a deeper shade of red.

"Like I said, thank you," I say in a small voice, walking over to Gray

"Ready to go Gray?" I ask, ruffling his hair. I'm surprised he isn't crying and shaking.

If I were his age, I would be.

Who am I kidding,  if I was alone, I would be anyways.

He looked up and nodded, then his eyes fell on his red faced brother.

"What's up with him?" He asked, looking up at me. I winked at him, taking my hand in his.

"Let's get moving," I say, walking past Zach, winking.
