He could feel her eyes on him as he walked towards his car. He may be giving himself too much importance but in recent days, it was like Valeria knew exactly the time he'd be coming out of the house and she was always there to stalk his movements. But of course she did, they had been going for a run together at that same time until the...uhm, incident that took place in his bedroom the other day.
Today however, he was going for a late morning run and didn't expect her to be around. He'd spent the early part of the morning on Facetime with his annoyingly persistent sister, who refused to back off until he at least agree to think about her proposal of making a demo with that song writer she had been going on about. Iverson had surprised both himself and her when he almost too easily agreed to give it a thought.
Maybe just so she would let him breathe or maybe because he was in a really good mood, his new guitar was arriving later today and he was hardly able to contain his excitement through the night. Like a kid on Christmas morning, he anticipated getting his hands on his new baby with so much glee.
His morning had only gotten better when he received a surprising text from Blue, "just checking on you" she said and if that didn't scream "I miss you" Iverson didn't know how else she could have phrased it.
Valeria's eyes was still burning a hole into his back as he leaned into the car to retrieve his iPod and so when he stood back up, he looked in the general direction of hers and her father's quarters.
"Alright, you might wanna step out now." He called, tapping a foot on the ground in feigned impatience. Other days, he merely ignored her and go about his exercise alone but he was in a forgiving mood today.
A few seconds passed before she timidly stepped out from behind a pillar, dressed in her typical workout attire of mint green yoga pants, a yellow cropped top, a black Puma sneakers and hair packed high in a ponytail.
"Ready are we?" He beamed at her, trying to diffuse the awkwardness she brought with her colourful presence. Though by the warmth tingling his cheeks and her overall crimson face, it was abundantly obvious they were thinking about the same thing.
Her, butt naked. Him, butt naked. Inappropriate skins everywhere. Awkward.
"Great!" Iverson unnecessarily exclaimed and quickly turned around to lead the way after she simply nodded.
Happy thoughts! Think about Blue at the photoshoot, she was dazzling wasn't she?
Oh she was breathtaking, he didn't know how terribly he had missed her until she walked down those stairs. A lot of willpower it took to remain seated and pretend like she didn't send his heart racing and his pulse thumping. Like he didn't want to rush over and throw her across his shoulder, escape to the nearest available room and show her ten days worth of wickedness.
His favorite yet hardest part of the shoot, was the jacuzzi and their bedroom series. It was quite amazing how ten days of diligent workout and eating clean had transformed her body, and oh boy, did she flaunt and taunt him with it?
He tried, on his part to remain a gentleman but they'd barely taken two pictures of her in that damn bikini Ivory chose for her and his hard on was on display for everyone to see. Iverson shook his head with a hidden smile, he knew he won't be hearing the last of that from the crew anytime soon."...please?" Valeria's voice snapped him out of his thought.
"Huh?" He said turning to her.
As if she wasn't already beet red enough, he saw the colour spread all the way to the shell of her ears and she fumbled with the earpiece in her hands.
"I said, I've washed your..uhm shirt? I'll give it once we get back, so can we just like, pretend it never happened? That I was never in your bedroom, please."
