Hiroko didn't go to school for a few days. Bakugo ignored it. He hated her. He didn't want anything to do with her but for some reason, he still always searched for her in the hallways. At lunch. Or after school at their bench.

Even when she did come to school, he rarely saw her. It was like she disappeared, just like when he didn't know she existed. At first, it was hard for the friend group to adjust to her absence. For a while, it hurt more than anyone wanted to admit. Soon, they forgot about her, just like most people did. Bakugo always lingered in certain places but could never remember why and often laid awake at night, feeling as if something is missing. Feeling as if someone is missing, but he couldn't figure out who or what disappeared.

They was until one day in mid August, Hatsume approached Bakugo, a strange look on her face. Well, stranger than her face usually is, in Bakugo's opinion of course.

"What the hell do you want? You've been following me for a while now." The ashe blonde grumbled, stopping his fast paced walking.

"I wouldn't have had to if you slowed down when I asked you the first time." She huffed, wiping her greasy hands off on her black tank top.

"I kinda thought you'd give up after the third time around the school." He shrugged it off. She held a slight glare in her eyes as she stood in front of him.

"I need your help." She practically whispered.

"Tell me something I haven't heard before." Hatsume held in her eye roll at the cocky boy in front of her. She couldn't believe her closest friend had to deal with this jerk for so long. The pink haired girl grabbed his wrist, pulling him toward the opposite direction he was originally heading in.

"What the fuck are you doing!?" He practically shouted at her.

"It would be easier to show you than to tell you." She explained, walking through a set of doors, Bakugo following close behind her.

Bakugo's eyes widened upon seeing Hiroko. He hadn't seen her in so long and honestly didn't expect to see her so soon. At first his face softened but then hardened again as the memories of that rainy day flooded in. He was about to say something when the blue eyed girl let out a small hissing sound.

Bakugo took another and closer look at her. Hiroko had a black eye and small cuts littered around on her hands. Her sleeves were rolled up, revealing dark bruises and a few new scars. He looked away again, knowing that if he had seen her again, he would've stormed down to her house and slaughtered her disgusting parents.

Hatsume pulled the hero course student out of the lab. She sighed and ran her hands through her hair. She glanced up at Bakugo, analyzing his facial features. He looked... angry. This was probably the angriest she had ever seen him.

"Bakug-"

"I'll do it." He cut her off.

"Huh?"

"I'll help you." He repeated, this time clearer. A smile replaced her exhausted expression, her eyes lighting up with hope and happiness.

"Thank you. I'm not sure what you two fought about but I knew I could trust you with this. I'm not sure what was said or why you guys ignore her like she doesn't exist but, she still cares. She still fixes your gauntlets. She still improves them. She still talks about you." Hatsume said. "I hate to admit it but... you were a better friend to her than I was. I only made it worse when I tried to help."

"And that's why you needed my help." He connected the dots. She nodded.

"I kinda got myself banned from going to her house." Hatsume scratched the back of her neck sheepishly.

"Do I even want to know?" He furrowed his eyebrows at her.

"Nope!"
