After weeks of pure torture for Bakugo, his friends finally gave up on their plan. Hiroko was just too dense to understand the ashe blonde's obvious hints. The group was exhausted from all of the running around.
"Dude, I think you should give up on her. You'll never get through that thick skull of hers." Denki hung off the couch.
"Dude, don't say that to him!" Sero smacked the boy next to him. Denki yelped, almost falling off the couch.
"Never give up on the girl you like." Kirishima patted Bakugo's shoulder. "Unless she has a boyfriend or cold heartedly rejects you."
"Hiroko wouldn't do that, right?" Denki spoke up again. Silence fell over the room. It was more of an unsure silence than one that would answer the question.
"Guys, what if Bakugo just... confesses?" Mina spoke, taking off the head to the mascot suit she was wearing. She was also equally exhausted with the weird ideas they kept coming up with. Laughter ensued after a short silence due to her comment.
"Bakugo? Be himself? He would ruin everything in an instant!" Denki laughed, earning a smack to the back of the head by the ashe blonde himself.
"Shut the hell up, sparky!" He yelled at the boy. Denki hid behind Kirishima, not like that was going to do much for him but oh well.
"Listen up!" Mina exclaimed, catching the attention of the boys in her group. "I feel like I'm surrounded by barbarians. What I meant was that she became friends with Bakugo when he was being himself so why wouldn't it work if he was himself when he confessed?"
"You know what, you make a pretty good point." Sero said, crossing his arms over his chest. Kirishima and Denki nodded along. Suddenly they all turned to Bakugo.
"Why are you guys staring at me like that?" The ashe blonde looked at them confused. He actually felt a bit nervous when they started getting closer.
"Hell no!"

"Hiroko." Bakugo approached the girl he had been crushing on for literally months. She turned around, smiling upon hearing his voice. He swore his heart melted a little from her heavenly face. She wore her hair in braids that fell onto her shoulders.
"Hey, Katsuki. What did you need?" She asked. Bakugo had sent her a short text, telling her to meet him at their favorite park. It was mostly used as their meet up spot or their "secret hideout."
"This is so fucking stupid..." he grumbled to himself. He looked at the ground and then back up at her. For some reason, he grew nervous as his palms got sweaty. He twirled a piece of his hair around his finger, bringing it in front of his face.
"I like you." He spat out, not meeting her gaze. The words were sweet but his tone was harsh. The pink haired girl couldn't help but feel her heart race and ache all at the same time.
"I guess I can't act like an airhead anymore." She muttered. He let go of his hair and looked up. This time, she was staring at the ground.
"What?" He furrowed his eyebrows. Usually she was careful with her words and didn't say anything weird. But this time he was confused.
"Now that you've confessed, I can't pretend like you're just being nice. I can't pretend to not know the meaning behind your words." She said, still staring at the ground.
"Why were you pretending?" He asked. Surprisingly, there was no sign of anger in his voice. That just made it worse for her. So much worse.
"I thought that if I pretended, I could make it go away. I thought if I ignored your advances, you would move on. Then I thought that it would kill my own feelings." She explained, her voice wavering toward the end.
"Do you not like me?" He spoke up. She immediately lifted her head up, panic evident on her face. His eyes widened in surprise.
"No! I just—"
"You what? I don't understand you at all. You always talk like an old man that's going to die at any point." He cut her off. "You say mean shit and you push people away. Do you even know how you come off to other people?"
"I like you! Okay?!" She exclaimed, startling him. "I like you, there I said it. I just... look at me. I'm a mess and I'm not on your level—"
"Who the hell said you have to be on anyone's level?! Hiroko, there is nothing wrong with you. And if there is, then there's something wrong with me for liking you anyway." Bakugo grabbed her hands. She blushed as her cold hands fit perfectly in his warmer ones.
"But I've caused you so much harm. You got hurt because I said mean things and because I got you wrapped up into my family's business. I don't want to hurt you again..." Hiroko looked at the ground again.
"Everyone hurts someone. Hell, I even hurt my mom's feelings sometimes. But it's ok because we learn from our mistakes." He lifted her head up by her chin.
"Never thought I'd hear that from you." She teased, a smile breaking through onto her face. He rolled his eyes at her comment.
"Oh, fuck off."
