"You bitch! I'll fucking kil—" Bakugo placed his hands over the pink haired girl's ears. Tears ran down her face as her shaky hands held onto his shirt tightly.
"I hate you..." she cried, her hands bawled up into fistst. He sighed as she hit her fists against his chest repeatedly, until she couldn't anymore.
"I know." He wrapped his arms around Hiroko as she slumped down into his chest. He felt his heart ache but he couldn't figure out why. Was it because he still wanted to be here friend even after all that she's done? Is it because he actually cared about her?
"I'm sorry..." her voice came out weaker than she meant it too. She was trying to be strong but she couldn't anymore. She didn't think he meant what he said all those months ago.
"I know." He rested his head on her shoulder, hugging her tighter like she would slip away if he left her go. She was safe. She was alive.
Bakugo finally let her go when the paramedics arrived to deal with their wounds. Hiroko's were worse than Bakugo's since he had only gotten a black eye and a few minor cuts from a broken window, plus his busted knuckles. He held Hiroko's hands as they cleaned up her bleeding head and all over of her small cuts.
"Katsuki! Hiroko!" Mitsuki and her husband rushed over to the teenagers. Masaru had a worried look on his face while Mitsuki looked angry. Each teen earned a slap from the older woman, causing them to gasp. Hiroko held her stinging cheek, never expecting that from the ashe blonde woman.
"Katsuki, how dare you sneak off to go fight a man instead of calling the police immediately!" Mitsuki scolded her son. He rolled his eyes, turning his head the other way.
"Hiroko, how dare you fight with Katsuki. You should always be nice to your friends. How dare you not accept his help when he treated you so nicely!" She scolded the pink haired girl. Hiroko stared at the woman who was more like a mom to her than her actual mom with teary eyes.
"Mrs. Mitsuki..." the blue eyed girl cried, hugging the vermilion eyed woman. Mitsuki sighed, hugging the smaller girl back.
"You're just skin and bones!" She gasped, feeling Hiroko. Bakugo frowned and stared at her. She did feel small but he thought it was just because he hadn't hugged her in months.
"I'm just glad everyone is safe." Masaru held his wife's waist with one arm and patted the two children in front of him.
———
"Hiroko, you can open your eyes now." Mitsuki said. The pink haired girl gasped as she took in the sight of the old guest room.
The walls were a baby blue, there was a small fish tank with her beta fish, a queen sized bed with black bed sheets and comforter, her blue bunny stuffed animal that had small patches with aquatic animals, a blue fluffy rug, a desk, blue curtains, a picture frame of her and her brother, a bookshelf full of her books, and fairy lights hung aesthetically.
"Welcome to your new room!" Masaru did jazz hands as she began to tear up. She couldn't believe that they did all of this for her.
"Don't cry, idiot." Katsuki placed his hand on her head, causing her to look up at him. She shoved him off of her.
"I'm not crying." She sniffled, causing everyone to laugh.
"Are you ready to go back to school?" Mitsuki asked the young girl. She nodded, the school had given the two teens two weeks off after the events that had taken place at that house.
"Thank you all for doing this for me." She bowed.
"You don't have to bow!" The adults stopped the girl. She smiled at them. As the adults left, Katsuki stayed behind with her.
"Hiroko." He spoke up.
"Hm?"
"I didn't mean what I said." He said.
"Huh?"
"You don't deserve to be alone." He raised his voice slightly. Her eyes widened slightly.
"Whatever, forget I said anything..." he walked past her.
"I didn't mean what I said too." She spoke up as well. He gave her a faint smile before leaving the room.
———
"Katsuki..." Hiroko grabbed the bottom of the ashe blonde's shirt. He turned around to face her, a confused look on his face.
"What?" The question came out meaner than he meant it too.
"Can you stay with me until I fall asleep again?" She asked the same question she had been for the past week.
"What will you do without me when we get back to the dorms, huh?" He grabbed her wrist, taking her to his room. Her eyes widened, not expecting them to sleep in his room. They usually slept in hers.
"This doesn't mean anything." She grumbled, crawling under the covers.
"Of course it doesn't." He rested next to her. She scooted closer to him, her back facing him.
"Katsuki... thank you for keeping your promise." She brought the blanket to her mouth, embracing the warmth.
"I meant it when I said I would save you." He began to trace shapes onto her back.
"Good night Katsuki."
"Good night Hiroko."
