Chapter 29

CHAPTER 29 (EPOV)

Everyone was busy with the cottage that Bella had uncovered. Most of it was fixed, it looked great from what I could see. We were taking another break today like yesterday. We were hanging out in the living room, listening to music. Some song called 'Inside of You' by Hoobastank was playing. Jasper and Alice were building a fortress of cards. Rosalie was being Rosalie, admiring her own reflection in the windows. Emmett was, well he wasn't really doing anything, just staring up at the ceiling while lying on the couch. Esme was seated in a chair, sketching. Carlisle had leftf for work long ago. We were all pretty bored, but we felt like being lazy.

-"I need to go hunting." I heard my Bella moan.

-"I'll come with you." I said. She smiled and grabbed my hand and we flew out of the window.

We found a couple of elk and a particularly grumpy grizzly bear. Emmet would have been mad that he didn't get this one. We shared it because it was so huge. We finished hunting not too long after. We were heading back to the house when Bella suggested we go to the meadow. I didn't feel like going back to the house either, there was nothing to do there except watch TV. We turned on our heels and ran in the opposite direction of the house. It was a rare sunny day in Forks today, the meadow was lightened.

Bella sat had seated herself down in the middle of the meadow and called me to her with her finger. The sun reflect off our skin like a thousand diamond facets. It was an amazing sight, humans would have been amazed, just like they were amazed by our beauty. It was nice spending tie with my Bella, we had stopped going to school for a few weeks when we had that run-in with the wolves. Btu hen we had to go back not too long after, so I had missed my time with Bella.

-"I love you, Edward." She spoke to me. I loved it when she said those words to me, they made me complete, just like how she completed me.

-"I love you, too." I replied. Although I had to admit that I was still slightly depressed after she had said no to me. As if she could read my mind, she turned around and just stared at me while softly stroking my cheek. She had a thoughtful look on her face.

-"Edward, are you still thinking about that whole 'no' situation." She asked shyly.

-"Am I that obvious?" I said jokingly, trying to lighten the mood. She wasn't paying attention.

-"Edward, you know why I said no. My mom wouldn't want me to marry until I was over 30 and since I'm stuck at 17 forever, I thought I could at least give her this. That's why I said that I wanted to wait for that so-called 'spark', and I really do want to wait for it. You know how much I love you, right??" She explained to me, hoping I would understand the reason I had to wait.

-"I know. I'm sorry I've been acting like that, I just really want to make you mine. I love you." I told her.

-"I'm already yours, don't doubt it for one second." She said. I smiled at her words. I knew she loved me, and I certainly knew how much I loved her.

-"Yes, but I want to make it official." I said.

-I don't think it could get any more official than it already is. Do we really need to prove our love for each other through a piece of paper or jewelry??" She said light-hearted.

-"Why not??" I asked.

-"I don't know." She said, then looked up at me and smiled that smile that was only hers. I brought her face close to me and kissed her with rowing passion. She wrapped herself around me and kissed me back with the same amount of passion. I almost forgot what we were even talking about. It was like we were in our own world. I didn't know how long we had been kissing, it seemed like forever, I would've happily stayed like that for the rest of my existance. But sadly Bella stopped the kiss and looked into my eyes. We didn't talk for a while, just stared at each other, communicating through our eyes.

-"What are you thinking about??" I asked her.

-"Why don't I just show you??" And then I was in her mind.

She was thinking of me. The vision in her mind was all white. That confused me a bit. Everyone was there, my whole family. Alice and Rosalie were standing behind her in blue dresses. We were facing each other, I could only see her face, but it was enough. Emmet and jasper were silently standing behind me as well. Just then, she snapped her shield back into place. I just stared at her, dumbfounded. She had a smile playing at her lips, soon it turned into a grin. I assessed what I saw in her mind and concluded that she was picturing us . . . getting married. I was thrown into a full phase of happiness. I grabbed her face and kissed her with so much passion that I could have succumbed right then and there. She returned the kiss with much more passion.

-"Now you know am looking forward to marrying you." She whispered between our frantic kisses. I lifted her off of the ground and just held her there. She wrapped her legs around my waist as we continued our kissing. My hand was buried her dark brown locks and the other one was at the small of her back.

-"I . . . love . . . so . . . much . . ." I told her, pausing after every word to kiss those perfect lips.

-"I know, that's why I'm asking you now." She replied. I stopped kissing her, even though I wanted to continue so bad it hurt.

-"What did you just say?" I asked. She climbed off of me, took a deep breath and began.

-"Edward Anthony Masen Cullen, do you want to marry me??" She asked. I think I stopped breathing.



(Bella's POV)


-"Edward Anthony Masen Cullen, do you want to marry me??" I asked. I didn't have to wait long.

Edward picked me up and started kissing me over and over again. I giggled.

-"I'm going to take that as a 'yes' " I said.

-"Are you kidding?? Its more of a 'HELL YES!' " He replied.

We spent the rest of the afternoon kissing and touching. I didn't want it to end
