Chapter 31

CHAPTER 31(BPOV)

Today was the day the Denali's were arriving. I was excited to meet them,but Rose had warned me about Tanya and her thing for Edward. I had to keep watch on her if she decides to go anywhere near him.

We heard a car pulling up in the drive way. We all went outside to greet them, there were 8 of them. I stood next to Edward as Carlisle and Esme kindly welcomed our guests. They made their way through everyone, saying hello. The first one to meet me was Eleazer.

-"You must be Bella. It's very nice to finally meet you." He said while shaking my hand.

-"Thank you." I replied.

-"Hi, I'm Carmen. It's nice to meet you Bella." She said and gave me a hug.

-"All the same." I said. I was rushed into Kate, Irina, Laurent, Sasha, and Vasili, until I finally met Tanya.

-"Hi, I'm Tanya." She said with a tone while shaking my hand.

-"I'm Bella." I replied without giving her a welcome, I already knew we weren't going to be friends. I instinctively tightened my grip on Edward.

We all went inside. Since vampires don't really need beds, Denali's shared two closets whee they put their luggage. I took Edward out with me and we both ran to our meadow, we hadn't been here in a while, I missed it. It was sunny, the rays of the sun sparkled on my skin, it was a thing of beauty.

-"Love, are you okay?? You've barely said a word since the Denali's came." Uh-huh, he was catching on. He looked at my expression.

-"What?? You don't like the Denali's??" He asked, confused. UGH!!!

-"No, I like the Denali's just fine! Except one of them." I said hastily and crossed my arms. Comprehension crossed his god-like face.

-"Oh! Is it Tanya??" Finally!

-"Ugh, don't say her name! She totally gave me the death glare!" I said. I turned away from him and gazed up at the sun, I didn't know where else to look to stop my growing frustration. I felt strong arms wrap around me, bu ti didn't turn around to look a this expression.

-"Love, there is no need to worry about Tanya. She knows I don't think of her like that." Yeah right.

-"Really?? You sure about that cuz I'm not. Especially after the way she was mooning over you. I don't get a good vibe from her." i explained, and i t was true, she was doing that, and a lot more, I was sure of it.

-"Bella, love, just ignore her. I would never respond to anything she tried to do.

I still had my back to him, he stepped forward a bit until my back was on his chest. I let out a defeated sigh.

-"Fine, I'll let it rest for now, but I am not letting it go, Edward Cullen!" He just chuckled and turned me around.

We just sat in the meadow for the next few hours or so.
