CHAPTER 2

BEEP! BEEP! UGH! Alarm clocks should not be valid in the US! I rubbed my eyes, removing any evidence of sleep. I took a long hot shower, hoping to calm my nerves about going to a new school. Forks was a small town, everyone probably knew i was here. "OH! the chief's daughter finally comes home!" Whatever. I went to my closet, regretting that i hadn't chosen today's outfit yesterday. I decided to go with a blue t-shirt with the cookie monster, skinny jeans, and sneakers. I threw a blue sweater over it.

Charlie was long gone so i just grabbed myself a cereal box and a bowl and crammed all of it. I was late for my first day of school!!! It was only a10-minute ride to Forks High School. I parked near the school, so i would be able to find my car faster. I was just getting out of my car when i saw some guy with unhealthy skin and black hair come up to me.

-"HEY! You must be Isabella Swan, the new girl, chief's daughter ! i could tell because I've never seen that Chevy before! Anyways, I'm Eric." He said a little too smiley.

-"Call me Bella, please. It's nice to meet you Eric." I replied back, trying to fore a smile.

-Bella, then. Well, i gotta go, but if you need anyone to show you around or just to talk, call me. He said with a really happy smile. I tripped on some rocks and was sent spiraling towards the ground until someone caught me. I stood up straight and smoothed out my shirt.

-"Hey, you OK?" Someone asked.

-"Yeah, I'm fine! Happens all the time, don't worry." i replied.

-"You must be Isabella Swan, the chief's daughter. I'm Mike Newton." He said. Ugh, did this town only know me as 'Isabella Swan' and 'the chief's daughter'?

-"Call me Bella. I said while shaking his hand." He showed me a couple of his friends. A shy girl named Angela. A boy named Tyler. Another girl named Jessica who barley noticed me because she was too busy staring at Mike with crush-eyes. We made small talk until i told i had to go and get my papers. I notice d a silver Volvo parking right next to my Chevy. WOW! Who were THEY?? i decided to put it off and went into the school. It wasn't hard dot find the office, it was right there. There was a woman with violently red hair behind the desk. I told her my name and she handed me two papers, one for my class and the other for my locker. I wen tot my first class, History. The second and third classes weren't bad either. I had Angela, and Jessica in some of my classes so far. I had lunch next, then Biology. I sat with Tyler, Mike, Angela, Jessica, and Eric. I didn't get anything , just sat down at the table. There were 5 people sitting at the table across from us. They were unusually pale. I asked Jessica who they were.

-"Them? Their the Cullens. The girl with the spiky and kinda looks like a pixie is Alice Cullen. They guy next to her who looks like he's in pain is Jasper Hale. His twin is Rosalie, the gorgeous one. The guy that looks like the Hulk is Emmett Cullen. Their all together, except Edward Cullen, the one with bronze hair. No one's good enough for him, I guess. Their all adopted by Carlisle and Esme Cullen." She said with quick, pausing at te0 last sentence with a stern face. I could tell that she wanted to date him or something, it was obvious. The guy with bronze hair, Edward Cullen, shot a glance at me, and strangely kept it there. I was lost in his onyx eyes. A face of confusion and anger crossed his face and he turned back to his family. WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT???? He didn't' even know me, why did he look so angry?? Ugh, i don't even care anymore. It was time for Biology. I headed off into the classroom. I went o the teachers and he gave me a textbook and gestured to me where i would sit. I looked where he was pointing and couldn't believe it! It was EDWARD CULLEN! I didn't want to deal with him right now. I waked over to him and tripped over my feet and caught myself with some one's desk. I walked in more hurry to my desk, or at least my side of it. i looked over at Edward. Emotions played over his face. Anger, Pain, Confusion, and then Anger all over again. I was grieving now, what had i done???
