"I have to admit," I started while sitting on Glenn's lap, my back aha isn't his chest. "You're feet are so strange looking." He let out a snort and chuckled, wrapping his arms tighter around me. We were sitting alone on the couch in the library, waiting for the small party to start.

"Okay, we are in the middle of the apocalypse, and that's what you're thinking about? My feet?"

I laughed at that. "Now that you say it, it does sound a lot stupider."

He tapped his foot on mine, kissing the side of my neck. "Nothing you say sounds stupid. You're perfect in every way, just like....." He then abruptly stopped, not realizing what he was about to say. I-I'm sorry,
Maggs. I didn't mean to remind you of-"

I cut him off. "No, no, it's okay. I'm gonna have to talk about it sooner or later." He didn't speak. I wanted to tell myself that it was because he didn't know what to say, but I knew it wasn't. I shifted positions so my legs were draped across his lap with my arms around his neck. "Let's just....try to enjoy tonight."

"You got it babe." His lips dipped down to kiss mine, making me smile. My natural instinct was to tangle my fingers in his hair and I gave in, falling back on the couch with Glenn hovering over me. I let out a low groan as our bodies pressed together. His lips trailed down to my neck and pulled my shirt down slightly, so we could cover up the marks later.

I then felt him start to suck on my skin, leaving a mark behind. My fingers tugged on his hair one last time before I took his head in my hands, lifting it up to look at me.

"I didn't mean that kind of enjoyment," I laughed softly, stroking his cheek with my thumb.

"I know, I just always want you to know how much I love you," he replied sweetly.

Smiling like an idiot, I pulled him down for a hug, burying my face in the crook of his neck before kissing his ear. "You're my one and only love, Glenn. I love you so much."

His hands gently rubbed up and down my waist lovingly before he stood up, helping me soon after. "We should get to the cafeteria. The party should be starting soon."

It was a somewhat long walk back to the cafeteria and I held onto Glenn's arm the whole time, not wanted to let go of him as if he were going to disappear.

A couple minutes after we entered, Mika ran up to me. "Hi, Maggie!" She sounded so excited.

"Hey, Mika. Are you having a good time so far?" I asked and she nodded eagerly.

"Yes ma'am!"

"You remember my husband Glenn, right?" Glenn smiled down at Mika and she waved.

"Yes of course. Hi Glenn!" Someone then called her over and she waved goodbye before running off.

"Maggie, Glenn," Carol called out and we walked over. "Glad you could make it."

"Well, I promised Mika so," I replied.

I tensed up as she spoke again. "Honestly, none of us thought you would after last time."

Glenn felt me gripping tightly onto his hand and politely spoke up. "Carol, I really don't think we should talk about that right now."

"You're right, I'm sorry. Just remember, we all know how it feels." I nodded at her, trying to smile. "Why don't you guys get some food. Daryl shot down a deer this morning and we cooked it up."

"Alright, thanks." Carol left to go talk with Mika and I grabbed two plates of food, handing one to Glenn. We sat down at a table together and shared a couple conversations with a few people before everyone started to and happy birthday.

In the middle of the song, I felt horrible memories filling my head, from that song that I learned to hate. "No....no....no," I whispered softly.

"Maggie?" Glenn asked, a worried look spread across his face. He knew what was going on in my head and tried to calm me down by rubbing my back.

"I-I can't....I'm sorry I can't." I stood up, rushing out of the cafeteria with tears falling down my cheeks.
