Chapter sixteen

August POV

So my plan for today was to act like I overdosed. I swear this prank war just keeps getting better. I've already went to the store to get the materials I need for today. Christy left for work about 3 hours ago, and right now its going on 2. Her photo shoot for today ends at 3:30, so I have quite a while before she gets home. So until she gets here, I am going to cook me some food.

I decided to make a nice dinner, because I know she's gonna need it after this. I made grilled salmon, asparagus, rolls, grilled corn, and strawberry cake. After I finished that 3:30 rolled around and I knew it was gone take her a min to get here. So once I heard the garage open I set myself up to make this "overdose" look as real and natural as possible. I was currently in the bathroom downstairs.

"Baby" she called out.

"August where are yo-.... OH MY GOD! Baby wake up please" she said picking me up in her arms. I was laughing hard as hell in my head.

"Oh gosh why.. why would you do this" she said wiping the fake foam from my mouth.

"Wake up please I need you" she cried out.

"I know you need me that's why I got your ass back" I said. Then she slapped the S-H-I-T out of me.

"Now that shit right there was not funny at all" she said. I held my face cause it was sore as hell.

"Man Christy now my cheek hurt" I said holding my face.

"And I care why?" she said. I gave her a stern look.

"I'm just playing babe" she said getting an icepack out of the freezer.

"You better be" I said as she held icepack to face.

"I'ma smack you again try me" she said raising her brows.

"Ight im done lil girl" I said standing in between her legs as she sat on the counter.

"I got something for your ugly ass" she said.

"Who ugly?" I said raising my upper lip.

"You" she said pointing in my face.

"Bitch where?" I said.

"Right there" she said pointing in my face. I flicked her off.

"Oh baby lets do the hit the quan challenge" she said.

"Ok but you know my rhythm off" I said.

"Boy you can dance" she said.

"Ok put on the music and record it so we can put it on the gram" I said.

After we did that we did some dubsmashes.

"Good morning, to you, the birds, are chirping, (weird noises), Good morning to you the birds are chirping" the beats pill blasted.

"Cause my bestfriend finna, she finna, ooooh, go bestfriend that's my bestfriend that's my bestfriend yass you better"

" I was born by the river, river, riv, riv, riv, riv,riv, I was born by the river I was shaking that ass, bend it over popping p*ssy I was making that cash"

"That was fun"she said.

"Yea and tiring too" I said.

"I missed you all day besides the part when you was acting dead" she said as she wrapped her arms around my torso.

"I love you baby" I said.

"I love you too" she said kissing me.

"You wanna watch a movie" I asked.

"Yea, let's watch Love & Basketball" she said as we walked up the stairs.

"Anything for my sweet pea" I said rubbing her nose.

"Hey so I have this photoshoot coming up in a couple weeks, but its in Orlando. Do you mind coming with me or do you have something to do?" she said.

"Uhmm I don't know I'ma have to get with my manager to see if I have anything going on but I'm pretty sure I don't" I said.

"And plus we need to have a vacation were we are alone anyways" she said.

"That is very true and very much needed" I said.

"Yes but we need to start getting LeLe ready for school" she said.

"Uhm we can look at that another time. Right now I wanna spend time with my baby" I said.

"Well turn on my movie then"  she said.

After that moment I turned on the movie and we chilled.

"Babe" she said on the verge of being sleep as she laid on my chest.

"Yes" I said as I ran my fingers through her hair.

"Promise me something" she said yawning.

"Ok" I said.

"Promise me you'll never hurt me in any way possible" she said.

"You got my word. I made that promise to you 3 years ago. Like I said I will never intentionally hurt you. I love you too much" I said.

"Okay I just wanted that clarified" she said as she pulled her leg onto my thigh.

"Oh and you gotta get LeLe and Ant from Shayla's tomorrow cause I gotta be at work at 6 in the morning" she said.

"Mhmm" I mumbled.

5:00 a.m.

Christy POV

After I got out the shower I got dressed, and headed to work. About two hours in I received a call from August.

A: Aye come to the Hospital ma
C: What happened
A: Somebody hit Shayla on her to drop the kids off. Ant and CeCe got hurt
C: Ok I'm on my way.

After I told my boss I headed towards the hospital. Once I got there I went straight back.

"So what happened" I said frustrated.

"Well on my way to drop the kids off I received this message" Shayla said as she showed me what it said.
It read:

I see you have my children with you, well if it ain't me no one can have them.

"Who would do some shit like this" August said.

I don't but I feel like it was Tiana ignorant ass. Like don't come for my kids that will get you killed on some real shit" I said.

"Well if it was her she got another thing coming fucking with us Alsinas" August said.

"Damn right she do" I said.

After a few minutes the Doctors came in.

"Well Anthony suffered from a minor head injury. Its not too bad, but he may have headaches for the next couple of days. And Cierra she fractured her elbow so she will need to wear an arm sling for at least 4 weeks" Doctor Gelnar stated.

"Ok how soon can they leave" I asked.

"Anthony can be discharged, but Cierra has to stay over night for more testing" the doctor said.

"Well Shayla I'll call to see how Cierra is but we're gonna go home so Ant can rest" I said.

"Ok " she said.

"Where is Chris?" I asked.

"He on his way" she said.

"Ok well bye" I said hugging her.

"I'ma figure out who did this and when I do we whooping ass" I said to Aug as I held my son.

"Hell yeah we are" Aug said.

Once we got out side I put LeLe and Ant in the car and we headed home.
