"Didn't you just get one of these yesterday?" You ask Louis as he sets down a pair of sweatpants on the counter. "Different color," he acknowledges with a smile. "Right." You roll your eyes and proceed to fold the pants. "You know it's summer right?" You ask him of his purchase.
"Yeah, but I've got to have something to cover up these tattoos."
"Why is that?"
"Well see there's a gorgeous girl that I'm kind of into, but she doesn't like them. So I really need her to see me beyond the ink. Covering up will surely help that" You pause. He had been in every day for the past two weeks, purchasing one item at a time yet this conversation had never come up. He had made it very obvious that he was into you and that he was going to stop at nothing to get you to say 'yes' to his invitation to go out. "You may be looking in the wrong place," you respond with, hoping to end the conversation.
"Nah. I've got plenty of time to change her mind."
"What makes you think that?" You ask curiously. "Well just look at how much I have left to buy." You chuckle at his persistence. He definitely wasn't going anywhere, at least not until he owned every piece of sports attire in the store. "Surely you aren't serious?" You question, still not even wanting to believe his statement. "As serious as a heart attack love." His cheeky smile confirmed it. "How do you even have money to buy all of this stuff?" You inquire. "Remember that team you went to go see the other day?" You nod your head in affirmation.
"Well let's just say I own a significant amount of their franchise."
"You're shitting me," you reply before even thinking about what you had said. He chuckled and only nodded. You shook your head in disbelief and handed him the bag containing his pants. "Try not to get lost on your way in tomorrow," you said as serious as possible. "Oh so you want me to come back tomorrow?" His question completely defeated the purpose of your statement. "No. I was just assuming that since you hadn't missed a day in two weeks and you still had pretty much the whole store to purchase that you would be back tomorrow." You explanation made him smile.
"We'll see if you're that lucky. I may take a day off."
"I can only hope." His smile continued even through your response. He turns to walk towards the door, only to stop and face you once more. "I'll see you tomorrow. I'm thinking a new jersey, so have some picked out will you?" You scoff at his request. "I'll be sure to not have done when you get here." His grin grows wider. "That's my girl." You shake your head as he walks out of the store, debating whether or not to have jersey's set out for him tomorrow or not.
