Chapter 12 - The Sass Queen

"Make it fast girls! " Finn yelled through the tent, he was standing out waiting for us to get ready.
"Don't take a life time! My legs are hurting like a mother f**ker " he yelled out in frustration.

According to the schedule given to us we are fishing today and there is a DJ after that.

"I never went fishing! " Vanessa said.
"Neither did I." 
"I'm getting in!" Frustration was evident in his voice.

Finn heaved a sigh in relief when we were finally out of the tent.
"Just so you know, I hate you." I said giving him a tight punch on his shoulder.
"Bitch, you are going to pay for it." he said rubbing the area where I punched him before.

"Lets go, the buses are not going to wait for us." Finn said dragging me and Vanessa like his two pet dogs.

Chad was standing in the front with a pad in his hand instructing everybody what to do.
"Oh my god, it's getting hot here." I said looking at Chad and fanning myself with my hand.
Vanessa nodded her head fiercely in agreement.
Chad was wearing a plain red tee with blue jeans and matched his outfit with a pair of goggles.
"I hope you are taking about me."
"In your dreams Finn, in your dreams." I said sticking my tongue out.

"You will get divided into four groups and a guide will be allotted to each one of the group." Chad said taking his goggles of and placing it between the buttons of his red tee.
"He will be the death of me." Vanessa said while drooling over him.

"Ally, Dave, Sally, Nisha, Jade, Gemma, Aaron, Shawn, Liam, Samantha, Ron, Bella, Maya, Luke and Finn. You all belong to the first group and your guide will be Natasha." Chad said pointing out the girl standing behind him with two other guys.

"This isn't done!  I can't leave my friends behind." Finn complained in a low tone.
"It's fine Finn, don't be a baby." he stumbled forward when Vanessa and I pushed him which earned us a glare from him.
Natasha immediately took charge and told her group to follow her to the busses.

Chad divided the second group which included Reed and gave them their own guide.
"In the third group, it is Vanessa, Katy, Jace, Hannah, Paxton, Alex, Parker, Faith, Polly, Ellie, Joseph, Micheal and Shannon.
Chad had a smile on his face when he read my name out.

And the rest of them were in the fourth group.
"I'm your guide for the tour." Chad said smiling at all of us.

The first and the third group were in one bus and the second and fourth in another.
I was happy that Finn will be saved from his boredom but the problem was Aaron is in the same bus as I'm in.

I'm not ready to face him yet. When I was about to sit next to Vanessa Finn pushed me aside with his butt and sat next to her saying that he wanted to discuss something very important.

He offered me to sit on his lap which I declined with a fake smile on.
Finn emptied the seat behind him for me and made me sit there.
"This whole seat is for you, your highness." Finn said bowing his head down adding a dramatic effect to the situation.

"Here starts my journey of boredom." I muttered.
Chad got into the bus and searched for an empty seat to sit in. There were no seats left so I motioned him to sit next to me.

At least I would be saved from the boredom, I thought.
"Hello there. "
"Hey."
"Are you excited?" he asked.
"I don't know how to fish."
"Don't worry, your superman is here to save you!" Chad made a superman pose which made me burst out into laughter.

"Sorry to interrupt you guys but Shannon can I talk to you for a second? "
I tightened my grip on the handle of my bag when I heard his voice.

"What do you want. "
"You know what I want." I knew the reason behind him being here.
"Why did you lie to him." he asked.
"I dint." I tried not to look at him while answering his questions.

"You are lying again. Remember when you told me that you like him?"
"I never did."

"Why are you doing this to yourself Shannon?" he asked.
"I know what I'm doing." I sternly replied.

Jace sighed in defeat and went back to his group of friends.
"Not to intrude, do you like him? " Chad asked.
"His friend." I tried to divert the topic and make a conversation with him which he gladly continued.

"So you have Indian roots." he stated.
"Yes, I'm basically half Indian, my mum is from India."
"That's cool."

It was noon by the time we reached our destination.
Those who were interested, collected their fishing rods, those who weren't sat around and chatted.

The moment I collected my fishing rod Chad was right next to me.
"Your Superman is here to save you." he winked at me and a blush made its way up.
I tried to hide it but Chad caught me and the corner of his lips raised and turned into a smirk.

Chad gave me few instructions and I followed them.

At the end of it Vanessa's bucket was filled with fish but mine was not even one fourth of it.
"Chad, you are a very bad trainer." I joked.

He was so hot today while teaching me, Vanessa was literally drooling over him. I had to let her know that people were watching her to make her stop.

"You are a very bad learner." Chad frowned.
"You suck." I said.
"You hurt me!" He faked and expression which made me laugh.

"So, tell me about you. I mean what's your story?"
"My story, it's nothing interesting." I replied.
"How about we play 20 questions?" he asked and I nodded in reply.

"Your crush?"
"Aaron, my turn. Are you in college? "
"Yes, freshman. This is just a part time job I'm doing. Boyfriends?"
"No, never dated. " I replied.

He had shock written all over his face.
"A pretty girl like you has never been in a relationship?" he asked.
"Uh-oh, it's my turn. Girlfriends?" I asked.

"I dated a girl an year ago, at the moment I'm single, lucky you."
"Yay! I don't know what I would do if you weren't available. You just saved my life!" I faked an expression in return.
"Sassy much, aren't you? " he chuckled.
"Well, what can I say?  I'm the sass queen." I said sticking my tongue out.

Chad was about to say something but never got a chance to.
Finn threw a bucket of water on me.

"Payback is a bitch!" he yelled and ran from the place.
