My Half Brother

Hades stood there, I could feel his presence. His very aura was rolling with power and authority but it felt familer and somehow made me feel more relaxed.

"Hello son" Hades said watching me, studying me, I squirmed underneath his scrutinising stare.

He asked me "Why did you run away?"

I so wanted to yell my answers at him but angering my father wasn't somthing I wanted to do so I just shrugged and hoped he woudn't pry and deeper, the furies would probably tell him of my little out burst anyway...

Sighing he said "At least you'll suprise Nico, he always wanted a brother"

Before I could ask Hades who Nico was, there was no way I was calling him dad. He hadn't taken care of me while I was young, he wasn't my father.

Hades reached out and touched me, suddenly shadows surrounded us.

I felt dizzy and a weird sinking feeling over came me then the shadows evaporated and we had...teleported?

"Shadow traveld" Hades told me. Had he read my thoughts?

"Yes" Hades said.

Seriously, why had it got to be me?

I don't need him looking into my every thought, I started to feel slightly paranoid.

I looked around and gasped. We were in a palace. It was huge. Windows were carved in every detail imaginable. The stone seemed to shine, was it me or did this room remind me of Olympus?

I hadn't gone their of course but my mother even when describing Olympus with hate in her voice painted a pretty realistic view of it in my mind and well this was it...Apart from the darkness and gloom that seemed to hang around

"Father? Who's he?" A male voice asked.

Around my age mabye a year older 15 year old was standing there. He had back hair like me. However he was so pale and he was slightly smaller than me but broader, more built.

I realised this must be...Nicki? Nick? Nic somthing....

"Hello Nico" Hades said.

Ah that was it, Nico.

"Nico this is Zayn your brother"

Nico blincked a couple of times trying to process the information then "You broke the oath?"

Hades said "I believe so but the oath is void now and I didn't know anything about him intill four years ago, his mother kept him well hidden"

The Oath? What where they talking about? I wondered.

The confusion was apparent on my face as Nico told me "I'll tell you everything later"

Then he did somthing that surprised me. Nico went over and hugged me, I stiffened then awkwardly hugged him back.

"I always wanted a brother" Nico said.

Then he grabbed my arm and pulled me along.

"Come with me" Nico said grinning.
