"BACK on duty I go," she murmurs to nobody in particular.

after the first years have bid their goodbyes and left the cafe, the hashira decided to go on a walk. or rather, that's what she had told kotoha. an excuse. in reality, she was going to patrol around the town.

recently, she had received another mission from kagaya—seeing as the demon activities in makochi has been recently quiet, only occurring immediately after the incident. as per request, the [h/c]ette had been lurking around the town in silence.

"..nothing new, again." she mutters to herself, not that she's disappointed. the female is more focused on keeping an eye out for demons for what they might have been planning. though, there's one thing she can confirm.

they came here because of the blue spider lily.

so they were notified of the appearance, uppermoon 4 was the key to confirmation. they didn't know it was false. but that doesn't explain why all the demons have all relatively stopped appearing.

there's something... [name] knows she hasn't caught the understanding of. there's something, she doesn't know.

which is why, she was given the extra mission—to find out. to give the hashira time to figure things out, and explore more around the town. looking around every corner, the deep depths of the town itself.

the hashira mentally noted, the cases of people missing have slightly relatively died down, giving the people a slight sense of security, being safe once more. but how long will that last? [name] needs to figure out—a perfect timing. and a plan.

she wants to give the towns people a permanent sense of security. allowing them to go out past dawn. to no longer be afraid of the shadows.

  crunch.

"....?" the female glanced her eyes below her feet as she halted her steps mid-walk, removing her foot from what she had stepped on, causing her eyes to slightly widen in confusion. "this—" she paused, taking a double look to really see if that was one of her wisteria pouches.

[name] was absolutely befuddled.

"wait—no, this definitely is." the hashira could not deny her familiar pouch of wisteria wide open in ruins, laying in front of her feet. except, the scent has dulled. the wisterias were withered. the female furrowed her brows, crouching to pick up the destroyed wisteria pouch in the palms of her hands.
