THE hashira effortlessly chases behind the demon. merely observing its body language. curious and cautious. she didn't understand its act of acting all high and mighty, reduced to being this.

she grumbled under her breath.

"come on, why are you running?" [name] questions with no emotion, trailing behind the demon at a pace, deciding to play along with its little game of tag. "don't tell me, you're a coward?" she questions, watching as the demon's shoulders became stiff for a moment.

hilarious. after the bold declaration to make her pay for taking their 'plaything,' and suddenly now they decide they want to play a game of tag — running away.

"your confidence and then making a run for it is quite bold," she mused flatly, clearly unbothered while she slowly closed the distance without the demon realizing it.

it gave no answer, continuously playing the cat and mouse chase.

[name] dully notes this isn't the same presence they felt. the one they felt earlier vanished. it seems she has to look further into it, after this.

"tag is over, you're it." the [h/c]ette leaped closer to the demon, delivering a blow and cutting off its leg in the process.

then, it regenerated its leg, typically. the demon let out a tiny squawk of fear, tightening up its pace to switch paths at the last moment to dodge any other critical hits it could not take. she frowns at the downplay, watching as the distance grew larger.

no big deal, alright, it barely changed a thing. the female was quick to catch up, delivering another blow. the demon clenches its teeth together, grinding in fear? or annoyance? the female paid no mind to it.

it was only then the demon snapped, roaring its frustration in the moment.

"y-you will pay..! YOU WILL!"

"no thanks," she quickly rejected the offer. "i'd like to stay rich." she adds as an afterthought, thinking what if the demon really takes my paycheck?  — that she was aware of not happening.

the demon growled before it had let out a horrifyingly loud roar, taking a sharp turn-a-round, facing towards the hashira—halting their chase momentarily. she prepared her stance, observing the demon.

"blood demon art..."

she caught the whiff of the name reciting its demon art, unleashing a large gush of wind surrounding her figure. the female leaps back, eyes narrowing at what was hidden within the gust of winds—invisible hands. large ones.

those hands...

[name] immediately recognized the very same invisible hands that slammed the teenage boy prior.
