The idea of Loid and Alana portraying as Tobio's parents and seeing how they were like was scrapped, and now they decided to find a lawyer! Everyone has calmed down and will now take a new approach to the situation: finding a lawyer to represent Tobio. The three saw down back into their triangle and commenced with the meeting.
"You know about lawyers well Alana, how do you know these stuff?" Loid asked.
"My family is well versed in law," Alana said. "My brother is even studying to become a judge!"
"Wow..." Tobio was amazed. "You have an older brother!?"
"Yep, he's fourteen!" Alana replied with enthusiasm.
Tobio and Loid were at a loss for words. Alana's brother, fourteen, studying to become a judge was something that the two never expected. Usually one would take law school and major in it, but someone in their freshman year in high school was something else. Alana looked at the two, who have jaw-dropping expressions, making her laugh uncontrollably all of a sudden.
"Hahaha, look at your faces!!!" Alana exclaimed, dying of laughter. "Man I didn't think you guys would react like that!!!"
"I don't know anyone else that age who would actually study in law school..." Loid muttered, keeping up that jaw-dropping face."
"Your brother's smart!" Tobio pointed out. "He should preside my case!"
"He gets assigned to cases," Alana said. "One day you'll be able to meet him! He's busy right now, so I don't think he's available. Now onto the case."
Alana pulled out a blank piece of folder paper and a folder. She puts the paper onto the folder and slams it down on the floor, looking up to Tobio and Loid with an excited expression.
"So...! We need to write down everything that's happening with Tobio on this paper, and we can explain it to a lawyer."–Alana pointed onto the sheet of paper.–"The things we need to write down have to be crucial pieces of evidence so that it would be enough to convince that lawyer to take up his case. If we don't have enough evidence, there would be no way that they would take up the offer of defending Tobio, and he would have to suffer a lot!" Alana explained in full detail.
"That's... a lot," Tobio said. "I don't know if I could... remember..."
"That's ok, just the crucial pieces could help!" Alana put her fists up, encouraging Tobio to remember.
Tobio looked at Alana's encouraging face. She looked like she was so eager to know about Tobio and the crucial details about his case. Tobio than turned his head to Loid, who smiled at him, signaling that he's sure that it would help if the important parts are explained. Tobio took a deep breath, and looked down.
"On Chris' nineteenth birthday, I invited my parents. They didn't come at all. When my parents took me to a park and the moment we left, I yelled at them and asked if they loved me. They said yes... but then they just left Chris to do all the work. This happened for so long... to the point that they didn't even attend my graduation ceremony in elementary school."–Tobio looked up. –"Then when Loid told me that I was being neglected... I started to realize myself too... when I coughed, it was so bad that... cough medicine wouldn't help and that I would have to go to the hospital!!"
"The hospital!?" Alana was horrified.
"My parents wouldn't take me... because they were busy... so I called Loid and he came..." Tobio said, with a shaking voice.
Alana wrote down every single detail Tobio said on paper. The hospital incident was something Tobio could never forget. Tobio saw Loid with a disappointed look on his face. He too, couldn't forget about that day. Tobio was coughing a lot on that day and had to walk all the way to the hospital alone—then Loid found out about it and got his brother, Jordan to go to the hospital since his parents weren't there for him. Alana tapped the pencil on her right cheek, pondering about the next step.
