Within a few weeks, I was back on my feet, though limited in movement. I was able to dress myself and care for my own needs, but Joshua insisted that I stay with him for a few more weeks. I knew his real reason was because he still felt responsible for my injury despite my assurance that it was my own stupidity and disregard of the airport security.

I had spent my time in bed learning theoretical knowledge although Joshua wanted me to rest. But I wanted to get back on track with my training, especially after our two week break in Florida.

I felt a warm breath tickle my lips moments before my mouth was covered with warmth. My mind emerged from sleep and I smiled against his lips dreamily. His hand automatically snaked around my neck to pull me closer and I willingly obliged. Before things could get heated, he pulled away to run his eyes over my face. My eyes glazed over as he stared down at me and my lips twitched wanting more.

Smiling crookedly, he eased himself off me and scooped me into his arms. I laughed loudly as he carried me to the bathroom, feeling his chuckles rumble through his chest. With another heart-stopping grin, he lowered me down in front of the door and went off to the kitchen.

I emerged from the bathroom quickly, desperate to be in Joshua's presence again. I found it hard to be apart from him for long.

He was shirtless in front of the stove, the muscles in his back tensing as he stirred whatever was in front of him. I padded over to him silently but before I could slip my arms around him, he grasped my palm and feathered light kiss across it. He dropped my hand to his waist and I held him as he finished up what he was making. With a click, he switched off the stove and turned in my arms to meet me. With a happy sigh, he bit his lip and picked me up gently to place me on the counter behind me.

"Good morning, beautiful."

He whispered as he nuzzled his nose into my neck. I giggled softed as the small wisps of air from his breathing tickled my skin. I hummed in disapproval when Joshua drew back. He only smiled adorably at me and pecked my lips gently before picking me up by my waist and placing me at the table.

He brought over our breakfast and sat next to me so that he could sneak in kisses between bites. I would have laughed at his refusal to leave my side if I didn't feel the exact same way. We were fast becoming inseparable.

We took a break from work that day and spent the time absorbed in each other. We watched movies on the couch but more of my attention was focused on snuggling into Joshua.

"Baby?"

"Hmmmm?"

I was too content and sated with love to form words.

"I wanna stay like this forever."

I smiled and moved further into him warmth.

"Me too."

"Do you have to go?"

I was fully recovered and after spending two months in Joshua's care, I was ready to move back home.

I stared at his pouty lips, trying to convince me to change my mind.

"You can always spend the night, you know."

He groaned in exasperation.

"I can't. I have a meeting with a client tomorrow and I don't have clothes."

Instead of feeling disappointed that he couldn't stay, I grew excited at the mention of new clients. At my grin, he frowned and shook his head.

"Oh no no. I'll take this one alone. You aren't ready yet."
