Chapter 14

"Michael?" He gave his full attention. "Yes baby?"   "Remember when you kidnapped me in order to get your lucky glove back? "  "Yeah why?"  "Did you really want the glove or did you just kidnap me because you loved me?"  "Well I really did want my glove back. But I also loved you to. So that's why I kidnapped you again, before you came to live with me."  She nods. "Ok Michael you know my mom is wondering where I am and I need to get back to school you know. You can take me and pick me up." Michael stood up. "No, unless there is a condition." She rolled her eyes. "What Michael?" He puts his hands on each side of his hips. "You'll have to avoid any connection with Joey. "  Kyela folded her arms angrily. "Why should I have to?" You promised you wouldn't treat me like a hostage!" He knew he shouldn't have let Kyela go. "Well should I spy on you while your at school the rest of the day?"  "No but, Joey is my best fried I can't just ignore him like that. And I love him to you have to share me." Oh my god he thought to himself. " Listen I'll get a job as a teacher if I have to in order to keep you guys away from each other."  "Ok fine." She wanted fuck the situation but this is how she was going to live life for now on. She is going to find a way to talk to her friend one way or another. "You can try me all you want to Kyela and see what will happen."  "I'm getting ready for school." She got dressed and put on her backpack making sure she had her phone with her. Michael was planning on getting a job at her school with out telling her.  This will be fun he thought. "Let's go." Michael demands. "Ok Mikey." She hugs him happy that she can go to school. They both get in the car and starts to drive a little fast to school. She was a little nervous but knew that Michael would be watching her at some point. "Michael can you slow down? We're almost by my  school." Kyela whines. "Princess we're almost there."  He stops in the parking lot and Joey notices Kyela as she looks out the window. He walks up to the window. "I'll see you later princess."  Michael gives her a five minute smooch while looking at Joey and Kyela closes her eyes. "Ok Mikey bear." Michael blushes embarrassed. She get's out of the car and closes the door. Joey holds her back pack. "I'll be watching you two." Giving Joey a hard stare. "Michael leave!"  She playfully rolls her eyes. "Ok babe. Love you." Michael watches Kyela as she walks in school keeping a little distance away from Joey as she closed the school doors behind her, Michael drives away.

Joey and Kyela casually walks through the halls waiting for the morning bell to ring. "Why did you

move away from me?" Joey asked. "Oh me and Michael had a condition."   "Which was?" He waited for the answer.  "Michael said if in order to go to school we have to have far distance away from each other. I told him to share me." She cares into his arms. "It's ok Kye." Joey wanted to help her but he knew it would cost him his life if he went near her. "Did he say anything to you?" She nodded through tears. "He said if I try him something will happen but he didn't tell me what. And he promised me that I wouldn't be his hostage but-" Joey was a little more. Well angry inside but he didn't want to show it. "And Michael said that he would be watching us." They sat on the bench in the lobby so Joey can get Kyela to stop crying. "I will do everything I can to keep our friendship. I mean he can't tell you what to do. He doesn't and shouldn't have power over you." She put her head against his solid rock shoulders. Joey looked at her necklace that she is wearing that Michael gave her. "Nice necklace Kye. Where did you get it? "  "Oh it's nothing, but thanks. Michael bought it for me."   "Did you know that I only came to school to see you? I miss being around you. And I felt sorry for what Michael did to you and he deserved and he cried to me about it."  "Haha shows him." He jokes. The morning bell rang starting first period is study hall they didn't do much in there so they past notes to each other. Joey: I missed being with you to. Do you want to hang out  after school? Michael won't find us. She opens the note to look at it. And writes back. Kyela: Sure but he is picking me up and he said if I try him something will happen remember? She passes the note back to Joey. They continued passing notes it's already self explanatory. Joey: I promise he won't, and since he doesn't have any sort of way to contact you he can't find you all he does is stalk around. And since you his girlfriend he should give you some space. And he'll only want me not you. Kyela: Your right but he still might do something to me either way and he hates doing it which doesn't make sense but he does it to keep me from running away. Joey: Ok fine tomorrow? Kyela: Let's sneak out tonight! Joey: Perfect and then he won't notice us hanging out. Kyela: Yeah I hope this works. The bell rang again. And as they walk out she sees Michael in the main office in horror she hides behind the wall. Joey notices her face change. "Kyela what's wrong?" She didn't want to answer she was to afraid. "Kyela?!"  "It's Michael. He's in the main office. Do you think he saw us together?"  "No Kye. Just go walk until after I leave." The main office called her name through the loud speaker. "Go!" She tells him. Kyela takes a deep breath in and exhales out before she walks into the main office. "Your father is here to see you." An office lady says.  Since Michael is older than Kyela of course they think he is the father but he isn't. "Yes daddy?" pretending about the relationship between them. " I brought you, your lunch." Michael looks around to look for Joey and didn't see a sign of him. Michael smiles and goes back to Kyela's attention. He put the bag of Chinese food in her hands. "Thanks daddy!" Michael leans towards her face to whisper something. "Stay away from him." She quickly agreed pretending she didn't see Joey. "I love you princess." Giving her a tight hug. "I love you dad see you later." Kyela was relieved and left the office with Chinese food in her hands Joey and Kyela had lunch together so it was perfect timing to see him again. She walks in the lunch room and found Joey far in the back of the lunch room. "That was a close one."  She sighs sitting down. "I have some food if you want some." Joey awed at the food. "You have Chinese? Lucky!"  "Do you want this food to get cold?"  "But I can't I don't want to eat anything Michael get's you anyways." He took out his sandwich and starts eating. Kyela opens the container of wanton soup and dug in. "Michael must really spoil you." He said disappointed. "Oh come on Joe. Are you jealous?" I laughed poking him. "Am not."  "Are to."  While she still chews her food. "Do you wanna bet?" He gives up. "Ok a lot." He blushes. "So what do you wanna do after we sneak out?"  "Maybe we should go and watch a movie."  "No that's something me and Michael did already."  "What about going for a walk? Or hang out in some sort of arcade."  "Arcades sounds fun. We can go to Davin' Busters they have a lot of cool games there." Kyela smiled. "I'll pay for the food if you want me to." She was thinking about being in love with Michael and having some sort of feelings for Joey to. They feel a lot closer and more personal ever since they have been apart and Michael keeping her away from him. She doesn't want to love two people that's only a thot thing. She snapped out of the thought and kept talking to Joey. " You know Joey I would like that." He smiles back at her. "How is mom hanging?"  "I told your mom that you ran away again."  She missed her mom, so she didn't go back to her house or Michael would go mad and kill her. "Oh." The bell rang for history class after lunch Joey and Kyela didn't have that class together with each other except English. She couldn't stand having a class without Joey it didn't make her feel safe. After school was over Joey and Kyela walked together to her locker. "Hey! Um, what time should I pick you up?"  "Around twelve pm I guess. Michael would be sleep by then."  Joey helped her close her locker. "Sure." They walked and sat on the bench waiting for Kyela to be picked up. "Can I give you one last hug?" Without saying anything he just quickly hugged her for a long time. They heard a car honk and it was Michael. They separated acting like they didn't hug Joey quickly went inside the school before Michael turned his head. " Hey Michael!" She says hopping in. "Hey baby how was school?" He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Same old same old." Kyela puts on her seatbelt. "I'm so proud of you I new you can stay away from Joey." She gives a fake smile. Not for long she thinks in her head. Waiting for the next day so she can sneak out with him tomorrow. "Oh and what was up with coming to school?" Michael laughs. "What's wrong with checking on my girlfriend?"  "Nothing Mike. It's just that I can be independent that's all. " "Oh ok." Michael couldn't wait to tell Kyela about his extremely important new job he has. As they get out to walk in the house Michael sits on the couch to watch TV.  "Hey baby?" Kyela turns to face him. "Yes Mikey bear?"  "I have something to tell you exciting before we go to bed tonight."  "Ok I can't wait to hear it!"
