Once I felt your heartbeat
Here, in my chest.
Side by side.
And it was just like mine,
Beating at the same pace, the same time
Growing my beat with yours.
And back there I remember telling you
We're vibing the same
We grew together the best I could.
Yesterday I felt
I felt all that I've done
All that I loosed
All we could have been
All I was afraid of achieving with you
I felt our heartbeats were no longer the same.
And I've felt mix feelings about it
I was happy for you as much as I was sad for me.
We are waves
Vibing as much as we can
Bringing light for those who cannot perceive it.
We are waves that once beated the same way. Stronger. Louder. Brighter.
