It was the following morning and I was late! Dad was at my place for so long I didn't get to my homework until late. And then I didn't get to bed until even latter! And then I slept past my alarm. I was in a sprint with three textbooks, which made the sprint more like a slow jog. I was considering just skipping school when an engine caught my attention. It was Jack.
"Hop on." He said. He slowed down just enough for me to jump onto his motorcycle and we took off. We pulled into the parking lot. Made it. Just on time. I got off the cycle and walked onto the sidewalk.
"Thanks. I owe ya." I said to Jack.
"No problem." He shrugged. I smiled and went into the school. I went to my locker and dropped my books off and closed it. I started to leave when I was slammed into the lockers by someone. I looked up to see who it was. I sighed.
"What do you want Vincent?" I asked, annoyed. He smiled.
"I just wanted to say hi."
"You didn't have to push me into the lockers."
"I tried calling you."
"I didn't hear anything."
"You were just ignoring me."
"That or you were really quiet."
"Wanna hang after school today?" Vincent leaned in closer. He needed to back off or something was going to explode. "Well? Do you want to hang after school today?" Vincent asked again.
"How about backing off?"
"Not until I get my answer." I saw the lights flicker.
"Dude, I mean it. Back. Off." I growled.
"Give me my answer and I will." The lights flickered more.
"Vince. If you don't back off, someone is gonna get hurt. And it's gonna be you." I growled. He laughed. The lights were about to explode when Vince was suddenly pulled back, allowing me to take a deep breath. The lights stopped flickering. I looked up to see who....or what....had just saved the lights. I heard something inside one of the lockers near me shatter. Opps. Why was I shocked? Simple. A boy who was tall, blue hair that had red streaks in it, a dark blue shirt, jeans, cowboy boots and a red jacket had saved the lights....and me. This boy was also muscular, had the most amazing blue eyes ever and was the right kind of tan. And he....was hot.
"Hey! Let go of me!" Vince yelled.
"She told you to back off." The boy said. His voice made me weak to the knees. Strong, firm, yet soft and gentle.
"I was going to." Vince said.
"After the lights exploded?" My savior asked. Vince paled. Busted. The boy dropped Vince, who fell to the ground, crawled about a foot away before turning around, standing up and running off. The boy watched him run before turning to me and walking towards me. He stopped when he was two feet away from me.
"Are you alright?" He asked me.
"Uh-hu..." I said. I was too busy staring at his inhuman blue eyes. He smiled at me. Something in another locker near me shattered. I was brought back to reality. I looked at the locker and groaned.
"I'll.......leave a note." Then the bell rang. Time for class....and I was going to be late! I turned to my hero.
"Thanks for the help." I said quickly. He smiled and nodded, then stepped out of the way to let me run right past him and to class.
