A sandwich, an apple, a globe, glasses, lip stick, a pencil, mashed potatoes. Those were all the things I have caused to shatter thus far. The lip stick and apple were the two things in the lockers. Why were things shattering left and right? I was thinking about the boy who saved me. All of that happened before lunch. Except the mashed potatoes. I was walking through the lunch room when I heard a splat. Turned out I caused Jack's mashed potatoes to....explode. Anyway, I was in the boy's bathroom with him as he washed off. (And yes, I was in the boy's bathroom and I don't give a flying shiatsu.)
"I am so sorry Jack. I didn't mean for it to happen." I told him for the millionth time.
"Don't worry about it. It's not your fault." He said as he finished getting potatoes off his shirt.
"But it is! I'm supposed to keep my.....powers....under control and I haven't been doing that!" I groaned as I jumped down from the counter sink.
"Something on your mind?" Jack asked. I quickly explained. When I was done, we were leaving the bathroom. I have a reputation for going into the boy's bathroom, so no one really noticed.
"Tell me. Does the boy who saved you have blue hair?"
"With red streaks."
"Tall?"
"Yep."
"Dark blue shirt?"
"Tight."
"Jeans?"
"Oh yes."
"Boots?"
"Cowboy."
"Red jacket?"
"Uh-hu."
"Blue eyes?"
"The bluest eyes ever. Sounds like you know him."
"Actually, he's right there." I followed Jacks gaze and took a deep breath. There, at the same table as Raf and Miko, was the boy who helped me before. I walked up to him with Jack close behind. I ahemed and he turned around. The second he saw me, he smiled.
"I wasn't expecting to see you here." He said.
"Same." I said with a shrug.
"I'm sorry. I didn't introduce myself. My name is Orian. I'm new here." He said and held his hand out for shaking. I took it and shook his hand. Strong, firm grip, yet, gentle and soft.
"I'm Maxcine, but everyone calls me Max." I introduced myself. Our hands pulled away and I took a seat between Orian and Miko.
~Later~
Me and Orian were at my locker. School had ended and I was getting my stuff while talking to Orian. We had the same 6th period class and his locker was close to mine. Orian is such a gentlemen. He holds the door open for anyone and everyone, including me. He tends to talk formally, he had complete control of his emotions.
Anyways, we were talking when I brought up my dad.
"Who's your dad?" Orian asked. I was about to answer when I stopped myself. I knew I probably shouldn't go around telling people my dad is an alien robot and my mom was a mutated human. But I wasn't about to drop the subject. That would make it seem like I'm hiding something...and the last thing I need is someone from the government or something asking me questions about my parents.
"My dad is a...military general." I manage to say.
"And your mom?"
"Dead." I didn't even hesitate. Orian was silent.
"I'm sorry for your loss." He said after a moment.
"It's no biggie. Really." I said as I turned and headed towards the front of the school.
"What about your locker?" Orian asked. I smiled and waved my hand as if I was closing a door. At the same time, the sound of a locker slamming shut echoed through the halls. I could feel the eyes of disbelief from Orian stare at me. I smirked.
