"Steve says you need to hurry!" Erica rushed into Eddie's room where everyone else searched through various tapes.

"Yeah? No shit!" Dustin shrieked from beside Lucas.

"What do you think we're doing!?" Y/n shouted, her voice panicked as she struggled to find something Nancy would enjoy. All Eddie had was hard rock and while Y/n appreciated the style, it wasn't anything that'd get to Nancy.

"We're trying, we can't find anything!" Max added.

Robin looked up at Max, then whipped around to Eddie, her hands full with different music. "Seriously, what is all this shit!?"

"I mean what are you even looking for!?" Eddie rushed to the girl.

"Madonna, Blondies, Bowie, Beatles?" Robin rushed out.

"Nancy likes Cyndi Lauper!" Y/n informed, not taking her eyes off the tapes she sifted through. Nancy's loved Cyndi Lauper for as long as Y/n could remember, and she was just clinging to the hope that she was still the girl's favorite.

Robin noted the information, although continued her yells as she fumbled with the tapes. "Music! We need music!" She pressed, all but two of the small rectangles falling from her hands.

Eddie snatched one of the remaining two from her hands. "This is music!"

"She's awake!" Erica rushed back into the room and Y/n only then realized she had even left.

"He showed me things that haven't happened yet."

Everyone listened silently as Nancy explained what she had seen, the nine of them sat in Max's living room.

"The most awful things. I saw... a dark cloud... spreading over Hawkins. Downtown on fire, dead soldiers, and this... this giant creature with a gaping mouth. And this creature wasn't alone. There were so many monsters. An army. And they were coming into Hawkins. Into our neighborhoods. Our homes"

The silence was loud as it hung in the air, everyone just trying to process what they were hearing.

"And then... he showed my mom. Holly. Mike. And they... they were all..." Nancy couldn't bring herself to finish her sentence, but it was clear what the ending would have been as her voice quivered. She took a shaky breath.

"Okay, but..." Steve was the first to speak up, everyone looking to him. "He's just trying to scare you, Nance. Right? I mean... I mean, it's not real."

"Not yet."

Nancy's words made everyone's blood run cold.

"But there... there was something else. He showed me gates. Four gates. Spreading across Hawkins. And these gates, they looked like the one inside of Eddie's trailer, but they didn't stop growing."

Y/n nervously tapped her foot, fiddling with her hands as Nancy continued.

"And this wasn't the Upside Down Hawkins. This was our Hawkins. Our home."
