Arnold Has Returned !{Editing slowly}

Chapter 20: ~Cheep Cheep Parenting~ (part 2)

Today was a rainy and gloomy afternoon , Arnold was walking Helga home in silence. The tension around them were cutting through the wind that combed their hair. Helga walked far ahead in front of Arnold, practically leaving him behind as she crossed her arms over her chest.Arnold looked up seeing her sudden change in body language. He sighed heavily obviously annoyed by the whole situation.you're all probably wondering why we are acting like this to each other, last chapter we were happy about the whole parenting thing. Anyway I guess I owe some type of explanation, it all started this morning ...' 

Arnold's P.O.V.

"Mr. Shortman !" Mrs.Hilbert called finally grasping his attention, Arnold was lost in thought about Helga's sudden mood change when he saw her this morning. "yes Mrs.Hilbert ?" he asked as his eyes darting to her, wondering if he missed yet another "important" lecture. The teacher sighed slightly frustrated and disappointed that he wasn't paying attention."I was saying that, you two have to take care of Ryan the Rooster this weekend with Ms. Pataki  , and that its worth 45% of your grade this semester." she informed them both since Helga wasn't paying much attention either. ' I wonder how come Helga hasn't spoken to me at all today..' Arnold sighed sadly actually worried about the beautiful blonde sitting next to him."yes Mrs.Hilbert" Arnold agreed as he looked over at Helga , making her blush wildly.The bell chimed ever so loudly, screaming for everyone to go to their next class. Helga hopped up and left the classroom so quick, it made her seem like she was sonic the hedgehog. " Helga !" he cried as he grabbed his things quickly following her . 

Helga's P.O.V. 

Hearing Arnold my beloved prince call my name literally broke my heart because I know he does not love me , but that demon Liiiiiiiila . I saw her hugging all over him earlier this morning when I was heading to my locker. ' I thought he like me, but I guess I was wrong ...'Soon tears began to flow down her cheeks as she retreated into the janitors closet.Arnold of course followed her in there locking the door behind him as he stepped closer to her. " Helga, what's going on ? you haven't said a word to me at all today. " he said pulling Helga into his arms wanting to hug her but Helga roughly pushed him away. " Don't touch me ! I know you've been having her in your arms lately Arnolado . I thought you liked me.." she said swallowing the lump that formed in her throat as her giant crocodile tears fell down to the ground. "Helga , I do like you.. I like you a lot and She only tricked you into thinking that way." he said honestly but Helga wasn't hearing it. She started an argument with him in that closet, it wasn't just any old argument either; it was pretty bad. " why don't you ask Lila be your girlfriend instead , and she can take care of Ryan too !" she concluded the argument and stormed out of the janitors closet. 

Arnold's P.O.V.

She didn't listen to anything I had to say, and with that Helga stormed out of the closet leaving a hole in my heart. After that disputation (argument) Helga and I haven't talked all day , and to make matters worse she's been avoiding me. Every single time I've been trying to find her and explain what happened , I couldn't find her and when I actually did she would just run off. I haven't even been able to focus much in class all day today, so I talked to Gerald about what happened. "Dang Arnold, sounds like you messed up big time." he said simply spinning the ball with his index finger keeping rotating smoothly. " Me ?! what did I do ?" Arnold asked confused as he slapped the ball out of Gerald's hand dribbling it across the gym floor. "Well you did let  Lila , your ex crush might I add hug you this morning; and right when Helga walked into the school !" Gerald exclaimed stealing the ball and attempting to make a shot. That's when Arnold blocked his shot and grabbed the ball bouncing it against the gym floor as his sneakers squeaked under his feet. " how was I supposed to know Lila would try something like that ?" he asked slightly annoyed that his friend wasn't taking his side. "Well Arnold, you did publicly reject her feelings and chose Helga Pataki over her." he pointed out as he stopped in his tracks gasping for air. That's when Arnold realized how right his friend was about the situation. Sighing obviously annoyed by the whole situation " so what am I supposed to do ? I don't want Helga upset , she's unbelievably beautiful when she's smiling happily." he admitted to his best friend passing him the ball as he wiped sweat from his forehead. " get her something , nice and when you get her attention explain !" he said practically yelling in frustration as she shoots the ball into the basket. Arnold smiled as he thought up a plan that just might get her to listen to him , the bell clanged loudly signalling for everyone to leave for their next class. " Gerald I gotta go ! I gotta plan .." he smirked as he left to the mens shower room to change into his regular clothes.

SweetJazzCandy: i'm sorry I gotta cut this chapter short , but  hopefully if I have enough time i'll update the next chapter today or in the middle of the night .
